Focus: capacity building and training

Objectives: scaling joint public procurement of shareable

products/services across cities via “shareability criteria” for tenders

Partners Recruitment: European Foundations (2), European

Cooperative Association (+2 national members), European Smart Meters and Appliances Association, Cities Members of European Regions for Sustainability (6)

Target Group: local government civil servants (procurement

department)

Public (EU) Funding: 2.75 M Euro (match funding sought: none)

over 2 years

Project #2: Innovation Vouchers for Collaborative Consumption Services

Concept Note: in development

Focus: alternative finance mechanisms

Objectives: revolving fund for financing the use of collaborative

services based on platforms with rotation of providers

Partners Recruitment: National Consumers Associations (2),

European Business Accelerator Networks (+1 national member), National Innovation Agencies (2), Cities Members of the EU Smart Cities IP (6)

Target Group: demand side of the sharing economy (end-users)

Public (EU) / Private (Equity) Funding: 5,5 M Euro (match-

funding sought: none) over 3 years

Project #3: Pick Up Points Network for Ride Sharing

Concept Note: “almost” finalised

Focus: demonstration, deployment, research (limited)

Objectives: development of ICT navigation systems and physical

infrastructures for ride sharing across European cities

Partners Recruitment: European Modal Shift Association,

European Union Road Federation (+3 national members), Logistic Companies (2), Ride Sharing Company (1), European Council of Spatial Planners, Cities members of CIVITAS (4)

Target Group: supply side of the sharing economy (providers and

infrastructure developers)

Public (EU) / Private (Equity/Banks) Funding: 4.25 M Euro

(match-funding sought: 500K Euro) over 3 years
