Entrepreneurial WorkshopsSigma Eta Pi, partnering with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Cadet Program, an organization that strives to empower youth in the local community, hosted an entrepreneurial workshop for 65 of the enrolled students. This event introduced the students to the concept of entrepreneurship and practiced real-world application by having each group of students build, and present their own business ideas.

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

To kick start philanthropy in April, Sigma Eta Pi spent the day at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank preparing meals to battle hunger throughout the Los Angeles county. Our team beat record time and expected meal numbers, assembling thousands of sustainable meals that will be used to feed 3,030 different families during the first week of April.

Women’s Shelter Flower Delivery

This year, in light of Mother’s Day, Sigma Eta Pi partnered with the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children to support the growing population of homeless women who experience unimaginable adversity on an everyday basis. To show our appreciation, Sigma Eta Pi fundraised, created, and delivered 150 separate floral arrangements accompanied by personalized notes and hand painted vases. These handcrafted donations were gifted to every woman, employee, and trainee at the Good Shepherd Center because even in the midst of Los Angeles’ exponential increase in chronic homelessness, everyone deserves to feel special.

Entrepreneurial WorkshopsAfter the successful launch of Sigma Eta Pi’s first entrepreneurship workshop, we decided to extend this opportunity to the Los Angeles After-School All-Stars, a program that provides a safe environment for education and cultivates positive self-images in order to incentivize a healthier community for youth. This partnership allowed Sigma Eta Pi to introduce entrepreneurship to a group of 20 middle school students and walk each participant through the steps of building a business.
