DESCRIPTION
One of the most amazing business concepts i received by a student her name is Ms. Laurine Mukarkar (20 years old Tourism 2013 Graduate) who had just one word for a project called "Balloons". This ONE WORD creating an entire scheme where i as a lecturer at Bethlehem University managed to insert my best expertise developing the idea into a visualized project to be implemented in Palestine, where it serves a multi task micro and small enterprises all working under one umbrella. This simple project will not only enrich and empower small business in the region, it will efficiently and effectively decrease the number of unemployment, and it has good chances to develop and grow geographically to cover all areas of Palestinian cities, and in future phases it might extend to networking with neighboring countries as part of a global PEACE message.

Mission Statement. Tourism sector is one of the most major sources of
income in Palestine, but our project concentrates on Tourism in Bethlehem.
Sky Palestine Project registered as a profit sharing company, adds value to the tourism division major attraction services in Palestine through investing in this sector, and encouraging investment opportunities, as well as the development of other tourists facilities and infrastructure as well supporting related outworker (contractors). This will definitely enable revival and rehabilitation of this vital sector, in addition to achieving profitability for to our investors and shareholders of the Sky Palestine company.
For launching the first trial phase implementation of this project, and due to our realization of the economic goals, there was a need for licensing from regulatory and local planning and building with committees in the city of Bethlehem.
The company will work on the preparation of the detailed plans for this purpose, specifically for building and developmental of this project without facing legal challenges and obstacles, this will be made by contracting with experts in law, planning and investors with the Palestinian Authorities in joined venture with the FAI Ballooning Commission (CIA) www.fai.org , The Royal Aero Club of Jordan www.rascj.com, and in coordination with the Israeli Air-Force Authorities. - Air Balloons Hoppers’ style carry 3 to 5 people. - Air Balloons for commercial sightseeing operations has the capacity up to 40 passengers without the pilot. For marketing purposes, preferable using “tear drop” shape balloons.
Fabric weight varies based on air density.
Flaying on a hot air balloon is like no other experience.
The morning of the activity starts at sunrise. Part of a hot air balloon magic is seeing the sun come up from a far when you are already in the basket and up in the sky, and at a landing point we serve a luxuries outdoor Palestinian breakfast and hand out a golden certificate and a picture for each of our clients.
Starting the activity is about 15-20 minutes drive from the moment you arrive from Bethlehem City Center till the moment we bring you safely back to your car. We all get together at 5:00 am, park the private cars in an organized parking lot in Everest Hotel and Restaurant in Beit Jala - Bethlehem , hop on the company's Sky Bethlehem Golf field vehicles and start a short ride to the preparation and take off site. After inflating the balloon we take off for 45-75 min of a magical flight. Please check offers and prices list.

he Church of the Nativity is a basilica located in Bethlehem, State of Palestine. The church was originally commissioned in 327 AD by Constantine and his mother Helena over the site that is still traditionally considered to be located over the cave that marks the birthplace of Jesus of Nazareth.
The Church of the Nativity site's original basilica was completed in 339 AD and destroyed by fire during the Samaritan Revolts in the sixth century AD. A new basilica was built 565 AD by the Byzantine Empire, restoring the architectural tone of the original. The site of the Church of the Nativity has had numerous additions since this second construction, including its prominent bell towers. Due to its cultural and geographical history, the site holds a prominent religious significance to those of both the Christian and Muslim faiths.

he Great Lavra of St. Sabbas the Sanctified, known in Arabic as Mar Saba (Arabic: سابا مار دير ; Hebrew: מר מנזר
;סבא Greek: Λαφρα Σάββα τοῦ Ἡγιασμένου), is a Greek Orthodox monastery overlooking the Kidron Valley in the West Bank East of Bethlehem.
The traditional date for the founding of the monastery by Saint Sabas of Mutalaska, Cappadocia is the year 483 and today houses around 20 monks. It is considered to be one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world, and still maintains many of its ancient traditions. One in particular is the restriction on women entering the main compound. The only building that women can enter is the Women's Tower, near the main entrance.

Since we are not running a typical business, we undoubtedly found ourselves creating certain publications, such as newsletters, flyers, postcards, and gift certificates, over and over again. While each new version is unique, there are also elements that remain consistent, like Sky Bethlehem company name, address and services. Indicators to Success:- The success of this project does not limit itself to the numbers and percentages of how much money we are creating, but on how much we are generating workforce. This project is designed for a 5 year plan, during those years, we have planned to have the first year as a launching, start-up phase to establish a BASLINE and build upon its results. Indicators to the success of this project can be summarized in the value and volume of:

Weakness Fear of establishing a new line of business and the reaction of
the community is unpredictable. Rejection by local & international investors Lack of operational expertise in that domain Lack of experience in that domain management wise Lack of availability of equipment's and maintenance
knowledge. Lack of creating BASELINE for the project. Palestinian Insurance companies are not familiar scripting
policies for such a contract. Importing project items and training staff might be inefficient
and ineffective in terms of the political PAL-ISR conflict. Developing the project and establishing branches and
creating new flight roots might take long time to accomplish in different cities in Palestine.
Opportunities Massive educational campaign might higher the value and volume of
understanding that this project aims towards developing tourism in the city, effecting on the socioeconomic level of the community as in large.
There is good profit expected to collect by the end of the season. Sending qualified candidates to the States / Israel to train and get a
certificate and gain experience . Meanwhile we can recruit the service from Israel and rent / purchase the air Balloons from them as well.
Touch Base with the most powerful Insurance Company by involving them in shares from the net profit.
Having observers from the Israeli side on the entire operation will reduce their fear of having us using the Balloons for any other purpose but commercial use.
Threats Involving an Israeli component in this project might threaten
the project and its potential to be implemented. Considering having massive number of Air Balloons operating
without securing enough bookings will jeopardize covering the cost.
Any political PAL-ISR conflict / clash will effect on the number of tourists accessibility entering Bethlehem.
Checkpoints delay will effect on schedule plan division. Operating the Air Balloons the whole year through with our
four seasons and sudden change in weather will increase the possibility of accident.
As of April 2013, 132 (68.4%) of the 193 member states of the United Nations have recognized the State of Palestine.

We can’t deny the fact that Palestine is much occupied still, and we as Palestinians don’t have the freedom to make this project see the light unless we have permit from the Israeli Air-Force to have an eye over and above subject matter.
To prevent the creation / invention of any gaps that might jeopardize the success of the project, we expect the Israeli governmental body gaining percentage of the net profit as a motive to operate Sky Bethlehem infinitive. Some kind of an agreement must take place between both parties in a business oriented dialogue even with the Insurance Company, this project will help generating Palestinian manpower, and enriching the socioeconomically status of the urban.
We considered many obstacles and constrains that might threaten our estimated scheme. Accordingly, and based on lack of study case, knowledge, expertise and Baseline DATA, we were obliged considering outsourcing the service to create some sort of information on how to operate the business with minimum mistakes (controlled error) and as much observation to details with maximum power to generate money and attract local and international clients to feel this experience.
Recruiting local management expertise in the domain of Business, Travel, Tourism, and Hotel industry was a smart choice we came up with. We considered our presented effort networking and marketing the services based on try and error theory, period to check results and come with logical and smart conclusions based on facts and figures, feedback of all parties and stakeholders involved in subject matter is as much important as the establishment of this pioneer initiative. So we reduced the use of air Balloons to prevent jeopardizing the capacity and capability of covering the cost and controlled the months were air waves are predicted and safe, and allocated two extra air balloons standby on both ends of the root for quality service assurance in case of emergency.
