SJP – why, what and how?
London 2012 is the public transport games but:- Some routes are already very busy- Some stations are working at capacity- The Javelin is a great asset but distorts calculated travel times
So LOCOG/ODA/TfL and DfT devised Travel Demand Management- Advice to Businesses- Marketing and Communications- Travel Information Services
The SJP is designed to give bespoke advice to spectators and to enable them to have a good travel experience as part of their great London 2012 day out
But it is a world first and needed to tackle some new journey planning challenges that will leave a real legacy
SJP – why, what and how? 2
