Roll Out
• The Government ambition is to have the best Superfast Broadband Network in Europe by 2016.
• By 2014 two thirds of UK premises (residential and business) will have access to superfast broadband
• Improved broadband (>2mbps) to every business and community across Devon and Somerset by 2016
• Faster broadband (>20mbps) to at least 90% of the area by 2016

How will the Roll Out Work?
• Contract signed 29 January 2013
• Eleven implementation phases with implementation completing late 2016
• 6 – 9 months average to survey, design and plan per phase. The survey and planning process has started.
• 3 – 9 months average deployment per phase. First cabs forecast to be deployed and first services available to businesses & residents by year end 2013.
