Upcoming Events

-Octoberfest (Ohio State Fair Grounds) 9/26-28. Avon booth

-Celebrate the Season (Columbus) 10/8. There are 2 different times available. Check youravon.com for the location closest to you.

-Circleville Pumpkin Show (Circleville) 10/15-18. Avon booth.

Anyone who wishes to is welcome to spend time in the Avon booth at either/both festivals; all you will need to pay for is parking. Books will be available for you to hand out with your information to find new customers or recruit. Let me know ahead of time, and labels will be made for you to put on the books.

For the holidays, Avon is offering 2 new plush toys of characters from the blockbuster movie Frozen.

Elsa and Olaf will sell for $29.99 + tax each, and will sell quickly. This is an excellent order and customer

builder opportunity. Please make plans to attend one of your District meetings or a Celebrate the

Season event near you to learn more.

Tonight I will submit the order for my very first Avon fundraiser. The fundraiser was conducted by the Junior Girls of a local VFW. The group consists

of 15 young ladies, but only 5 participated in the fundraiser. Together they sold $449.00 in product

which earned them $180.00. The group coordinator was ecstatic with the results and said it was the easiest fundraiser they had ever done and

made the most money.

Things I learned along the way:1) Attend the roll out meeting with the group-I was not able to attend their meeting, and found out later that different dates

and instructions for the fundraiser were communicated to the participants.

2) Enforce the fundraiser dates-even with only 5 girls participating, we still couldn’t get all the order forms and money back as instructed which has held up the order. It is possible to register another fundraiser for the group and submit late

submissions on the next fundraiser.

3) Go through each order submitted with the group coordinator/or participant- Many forms were missing the name of the participant or the name of the customer, and some money wasn’t turned in with the order form.

4) We have a success story to share-Please feel free to use the results of what just 5 young ladies were able to do to raise funds for their group. If you want some assistance in pitching a fundraiser, I will be happy to go along with you.

the past 2 years. This year my goal is to move up to Rose Circle.

Achieved my personal goal of ordering 25 Big & Daring mascaras. Sold 11 to

customers, and purchased 14 to sell at upcoming events.
