The Lion’s Gift of

I believe that many people think that courage is something that belongs to superheroes and soldiers. It doesn't.

He wanted to see the Wizard so that he could ask for courage. After all the

travails of making it to the Emerald City, he was greeted with the disappointing

news that the Wizard was just an ordinary man who had no special powers to

give the Cowardly Lion courage.

How would he gain courage without the Wizard's intervention?

The Wizard showed the Cowardly Lion

that he already had courage. All the

Cowardly Lion needed was for

someone to help him see himself as

what he wanted to be.

Overcoming obstacles. Taking a step towards a dream. Learning a new skill. Getting out of bed when struggling with

health problems.

Those all require courage.

"There will be times when you will be frightened and discouraged. You may feel that you are defeated. The odds of obtaining victory may appear overwhelming. At times you may feel like David trying to fight Goliath. But remember --David did win!

So remember: you DO have courage. Use it to build your business and build your life.

Don't be afraid that you can't do it. Look at the obstacles. If the obstacle is you and your fears, tell yourself to get out of the way.
