Ardhendu has grown up in a quaint British colonial town and studied at European High School currently known as (SERMHS) one of the oldest in the country set up by the Britishers in 1898 at Kharagpur situated near south of Calcutta the imperial capital of the British India for the children of British and European engineers who had built the largest railway workshop of Asia there.

After having studied in that school for eight years under the tutelage of the Cambridge University and teachers whose mother tongue was English, he moved on to study in the campus of the first temple of learning of modern and independent India, the Indian Institute of Technology, Hijli Kharagpur.

Hijli was the site of the British detention camp where greatest Indian freedom fighters like Subhas Chandra Bose, Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru had served prison terms. Therefore during the first convocation of IIT Kharagpur on 15th September 1956 the first Prime minister of India had made the historical statement:

“Here in the place of that Hijli Detention Camp stands the fine monument of India, representing India's urges, India's future in the making. This picture seems to me symbolical of the changes that are coming to India.”

Situated in the campus of that grand monument of learning which IIT Kharagpur is, Hijli High School meant for the children of IIT scholars was where Ardhendu studied for next five years , this school was known for creating host of Sir J. C .Bose National Scholars and several winners of President’s Gold Medallists from IIT Kharagpur. The students from this school after passing out from IIT Kharagpur and other greatest European and American institutions are today amongst the who’s who of the world.

Since the beginning of his life Ardhendu has been driven by the search for truth and knowledge by asking the questions what it means to be human and who the ideal role model of humanity could be while looking through the lens of the classical civilisations of the West as well as the East fashioned by the threads of thoughts of the venerable Vedas and the sacred Bhagwad Geeta as well as the books of prophets of the old as well as the new testaments.

Ardhendu can fluently communicate in Latin as well as Sanskrit group of languages; he can also communicate in Dravidian family of languages.

Ardhendu thus was brought up in the finest traditions of his times combining the best of the West and the East with a spirit persevering forever to become the best.

He repeatedly has stood first class first at All India Entrance Examinations.

Ardhendu went on to become first class first hotel management graduate from IHM Calcutta and has spent 29 years in the hospitality industry so far. He has over the years acquired certified technical knowledge through mediums like ATC New Delhi, Osmania University, Hyderabad, ‘Alliance Française’ of Paris and ‘Goethe Institut’ of Munich, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi whose courses were designed by the faculties from all the IITs and IIMs of the country.

From the campus of IHM Calcutta he was selected through the most rigorous All India Examinations to the world famous Management Training Institutes of the Oberois and the ITDC at Delhi.

He chose to join the best management training Institute of his times sponsored by ITDC.

During his spectacular and eventful tenure with the hallowed two year’s management training programme at ITDC ‘s Ashok Training Centre that he was exposed to the thoroughly professional functioning of the largest diversified hospitality company of Asia spanning Hotels, Malls, Duty Free Trade, Mobile Catering, Flight Catering, State Banqueting and International Conferences and International Marketing of India as a destination amongst host of other things dealing with Emperors, Heads of States, Kings, Queens and dignitaries from all over the world at Hyderabad House and Vigyan-Bhavan.

He qualified and served as Quality Assessor of Ashok Group Hotels through ISO 9000 and a model based on the Malcolm Baldridge method of business execution and performance.

He has had the opportunity of working in geographies across India and has therefore is capable of grasping the much diversified cultural sensitivities of guests, owners and employees across this large country. He has worked in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Durgapur and Siliguri and has had the benefit of running Luxury as well as Mid-segment hotels and resorts during his earlier assignments thus interacting with the global humanity.

He has moved across diverse spectra of industries such as building and managing Hotels, Malls, Multiplexes, Luxury Service Apartments with Clubs and World Class Spas leading senior professionals from various fields such as services operations and marketing, engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical and Information Technology), Finance, Legal and Human Resources development.

He has over the years through severe penance acquired knowledge of Value Engineering, Project Management, Retail Management, Visual Merchandising, Event Management, Marketing Management in physical and digital forums apart from Hotel Operations and Administration.

In his current assignment, he has added a much larger portfolio, the development of an e-commerce business infrastructure serviced by virtual digital assistants.
