♦ There are a few new features that have been set in place to make is easier to use and create PowerPoint presentations Embedment of all company templates into the program. Master slides and layouts are tailored to specific uses
● The layouts are labelled to better distinguish between types and function» The master slides and layouts will generate presentations with consistent arrangements
» Use of layouts will remove webcast player incompatibilities
Guides have been preset to provide consistent formatting throughout Modified content buttons

♦ Add a page using the appropriate layout Large examples of the types of layouts in the template can be found in the “PPT Template
Rundown” section at the end of this presentation.
♦ Click on the icon that corresponds to the graphic to be placed, found in the center of the text box If a table is needed, click on the table icon If a chart is needed, click on the chart icon If a smart art graphic is needed, click on the smart art icon If a picture is needed, click on the picture icon
♦ Make sure to center the content by using the guides and/or grid lines
♦ Content should not overflow the 4.5” margin line Use the guides provided in the template to follow the arranged layout
● The guides will show the margin lines to follow
● The guides also have a snap-to feature to form consistent margin lines throughout

Notice that the table fills and centers within the textbox automatically.
A table may be selected by clicking on the border or clicking anywhere inside the rows or columns. Once selected, a thick white border will appear (see picture above).

As you can see, the specific, designated table design automatically populates a chart when formed in the presentation. The colors and placement of data labels can be altered as needed; however, the design should remain flat (i.e. no beveling, shadowing, etc.)

Check off the elements to add or remove from the chart
You can manually change a label by clicking on the label to select it, then triple clicking until the text is selected. Now type.

ADDING A CHART – TIPS
♦ To add data labels, right click the chart object and select add data labels. If you want to change the positioning of the labels automatically
● Right click on a data label, once, to select all
● Select “Format Data Labels”
● A “Format Shape” side bar will appear on the right
● Select position under “Label Options”
To move the data labels manually● Double click on the label you want to move
● Drag the box to the desired location
To change the size or color of all data labels● Click on a data label once to select all
● Change the size and color from the Home tab, as you would body text
♦ To change the color of the chart To change the coloring of the chart automatically
● Select the chart by clicking on it
● The design tab should appear at the top of the screen
● From the design tab, click on the Change Colors dropdown to choose a preset color scheme
To change the coloring of the chart manually● Select the chart by clicking on it
● Double click the section of the chart needing alteration
● Select the color you will use from the Shape Fill dropdown on the Home or Format tab
