File Name extension - *.html Type of Format – Mark-up Language. Extended Up-to – XHTML5. Internet Media Type – text/html.
BASIC HTML TAGS <html> - Html Document. <head> - head Elements. <h1 to h6> -Heading <p> - Paragraph <br> - Single Line Break <img> - for Image. <applet> tag is not supported in HTML5. Use the <object> tag instead. <frame> - for sub window. <body> - <body> element contains all the contents of an HTML document, such as text, hyperlinks, images, tables, lists, etc.

HTML 4 It Consist of java Applet. HTML having forms field label. Generic Meta Information. Doesn't follow tree, list or tabular data.
HTML 5 It consist of new elements and attributes. Full support of CSS3, 2D, 3D graphics. Reduce External Plugins. More Mark-Up to replace Scripting. Java applet not supportable.
