PR Coverage Value Summary

*Based on estimates, the standard calculated publicity value takes the calculated ad equivalency and multiplies it by a factor of three. The 3rd party editorial factor is a calculation used by the Public Relations Society of America to account for the credibility of editorial content over advertisements. Industry standards range from x3 to x5. Veracity uses a conservative x3 rate.

Calculated ad equivalency provides the estimated cost of placing an advertisement in a given space in print, online, television or radio. Ad equivalency value is based on what it would cost to buy advertising in the medium had it not been earned via all forms of public relations activities. The ad equivalency quoted is based on flat, one-time, non-negotiated 2015 rates and is multiplied by a factor that coincides with the amount of coverage provided (e.g. 100% value of a full page ad is not given for a simple mention within a full page article).
