Adult Education Case Study• In 2010 the Governor of AZ proposed cutting Adult Education and

GED testing due to budget constraints

• Contacted by leaders at Pima Community college, Tucson Literacy Volunteers, and AZ Association for Life Long Learning to implement a social media campagain

• Results: – Developed a statewide social media campaign, that ignited, massive

rallies, letter writing and overwhelming calls to governmental leaders – State funding for the program cut– Nearly $2 Million dollars were raised by community colleges and other

organizations to sustain the program for another year– Chancellor of Pima Community College formally recognized Xtreme
