PATD Your Way to Senior Executive Unit

Prospecting is looking for people to share the Avon earnings and career opportunity. Based on the minimum requirements identified for Prospecting, effective Avon prospector engage the prospects into conversation with the expectation of collecting names and numbers for future follow-up

– Plan to talk to at least 3 people everyday– Set your goal to convert 2 – 3 prospects to

customers and sellers every week.

Appointing/Recruiting is converting and preparing a prospect to become a Representative or a Sales Leader. This process includes completion of the contract, training contact 1 and specific training on the Sell, Share and Show system which increases the success rate of our Representatives.

To become an effective Sales Leader you must develop skills in the four basic field fundamentals we call PATD. Practice and consistent use of the PATD skills will increase your ability to lead by example and enhance your ability to transfer your knowledge to others.

You must plan time on your calendar everyday to do both prospecting and recruiting to advance your business to the next level.

A Leader is…

Prospecting is the first skill you must master to achieve Senior Executive Unit Leader. You must prospect for buyers, seller and Leaders, everyday!

Prospecting for Potential Leaders:• Create a compelling :30 second introduction. Craft the introduction around

the four most common questions that a potential leader will have. Pre-determining the answers to these questions will provide the prospects with enough information for them to make a logical business decision on whether to schedule an interview with you. High Potential Leaders want to know:

1. Who you are and the company your represent?2. What kind of business you are offering?3. What kind of money can they make?4. What do they have to do to earn the money?

• Teach Downline members how to link their :30 second commercial to the “power of 3”. Review the prospecting tools, practice “ACT” and share the three things that could happen. Prepare them to respond to these most common responses:

1.I am not interested2. Not at this time, or… 3.Yes (2 out of 10 will say yes, tell me more!)

• How would you introduce yourself including a response to the above four questions? (65 – 70 words)

Sales Training is demonstrating, modeling, telling or showing Representatives (one-on-one or in small groups) how to complete an assigned task so they can fulfill their roles and responsibilities to the customers.

Developing others is providing varied learning experiences to engage Sales Leader (one-on-one or in small groups) to help them progress in their career in Avon. Although “development” as a generic term includes “training”, we are assigning the term “Training” to Representatives and “Development” to Sales Leaders.

What Does A Successful Business Unit… Look Like?

• The following pages illustrate what it looks like when you meet all three of the requirements to receive Leadership Bonuses at each of the four levels.

Leadership Performance ReportPasadena – District 1234 Name: Jane Winters Agreement Date: C”/08/11 Campaign 15, 2008

This New Representative joined Leadership and got her first recruit in C11. She met the 3 – performance requirements to earn the Fast Start Bonus in C14, earning $200. She advanced her title to Unit Leader in C14 and will received her first Leadership Bonus in C15! Jane’s check is double the size of most first checks because she earned the Fast Start bonus!

Jane went from 100% activity in C11 & C12 to 80% in C13 to 85% in C14 and a low of 42% in C15. I am sure she was focused on getting the Fast Start bonus and delivering her largest personal order in C14 which affected her follow-up with her Downline.

The success story here is Jane recruited 7 in her first four campaigns and she was able to sell $1,846 in her first six campaigns. She earned her Avon Pin, achieved Unit Leader, earned the Fast Start Bonus and got her first Avon Check, all in her first three months!

Jane’s mentor also received the mentor bonus for helping her achieve success!

Brenda is an Established Representative, who already knew how to sell. She made a decision to build a unit and because of her selling skills the sales volume of her unit is twice what a new Recruit would achieve with a new Downline.

This is the only business that I know, where you can start earning immediately and when you consistently add buyers, sellers and a few recruiters to your business unit, your earnings can increase every 90-days!
