TIP 1: Dress in formal attire. Neat and well ironed clothing. Avoid very bright or dull colours. Shades of

blue look better on camera than bright colours like red.

Also, opt for solids instead of stripes or dots as they could be distracting

TIP 2: Style your hair well and ensure it is off your

face

TIP 3: Ladies, use a light foundation, eye liner,

and a lip colour in soft shades to look professional

TIP 4: Sit up straight with shoulders squared. Do not sit as close to the computer as you

normally would. Instead, sit a bit farther back so that your

face and upper shoulders are framed in the shot

TIP 5: Smile and maintain eye contact throughout

the interview.  Do not get distracted and look away from

the screen

TIP 6: Have a professional username and profile

TIP 7: Clear the background and make it look like

a formal polished work place. Do not have a very bright coloured wall or a

large painting in the background as it could be distracting.

You will look much more professional sitting at a desk or table and against a neutral background without any clutter.

TIP 8: Check for appropriate lighting and keep in

mind the time of the interview

TIP 10: Do a test call with a friend or family

member and before the interview
