Dear Candidate,

Thank you for showing your interest in the LCP application of AIESEC MUBS, 2016-2017!

The application process has been designed to help you step out of the crowd and feel completely comfortable with your application, making sure that it reflects you; it reflects your personality and your perspectives.

The Application is divided into fIVE parts:1) Executive Summary: In one (1) page, resume your whole

application ideas and your motivation.2) Your CV: Give us all important information we need to know about

you, your personal information (Skype, phone, etc.), your studies, your personal interests, your personal characteristics, your AIESEC Career, other jobs you have had, etc. In this case you can use a maximum of ONE page tocreate your Curriculum Vitae. Include in your CV a picture. NO T E : Including your AIESEC career in CV, means you mention the positions held and provide a brief explanation of the responsibilities and results you achieved. (max. 5 lines each)

3) Questionnaire: The General questionnaire must be answered by allcandidates. You have a maximum of eight (8) pages to answer all the required questions.

4) Reference letters: You are required to provide us with four (4) reference letters. The referees must come from your own LC, MC,AIESEC Alumni and Corporate world… A reference letter should not be longer than one (1) page.

5) Create a 5 minute video with your motivation and vision for the LC in line with AIESEC 2020. Make sure you create a separate file for your Executive Summary, your CV, and your Reference letters and your answers. We will be expecting four files (Motivation letter, CV, the LCP questionnaire, VIDEO and reference letters).

What is expected from the LCP candidate?Free speech including strategic plan for the term 2016-2017

Timing:Speech: 10 minutesQuestions & answers: 10 minutes

Vote Procedure – LCP ElectionAfter all Local Committee President Candidates have given their answers to The Q&A, there will be a General Discussion. Each full-member has the right To vote. To do so, he/she will receive a ballot paper as this vote is secret.The Local Committee President Candidate is elected if he/she gets fullMajority (in case of one candidate) or simple majority (if more than 2Candidates).

LCP ROLE OVERVIEW

The main Role of the President is to drive strategic growth and development of local committee and ensure relevance of the organization in the short and long term. He/She takes care of execution of local strategies and term priorities and leads Executive Board team. The President needs to ensure implementation of national strategies and leadership.

LC?8. What are your biggest achievements in AIESEC last year?9. What are you 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses? Then identify the

things that have led to success of other organization’s giving an example of your choice. Give the ways forward to reduce on what you’ve identified?

10. What does AIESEC 2020 mean to you and explain it in your own understanding?

11. What’s the new AIESEC way and how do you think it’s of any benefit to your members. Explain how it’s going to be of impact to each portpholio?

LCP Questionnaire1. What do you think should be the Focus Areas and organizational goals’ estimate for the term 2016-2017? Explain your choice.2. What is the biggest challenge of AIESEC in your Local Committee sofar and how would you tackle it? Give concrete strategies & action steps.3. As a LCP, you have the responsibility of managing your team. Imagine one of your VPs comes to you and says he/she wants to leave the LC, how do you handle the situation?4. With your role of LCP, what would you change in the organization on a national level and how?5. How will you ensure alignment between national and local plans in AIESEC in Uganda? Please give concrete strategies and action steps. 6. Design a financial model of how finances are going to be flowing into and out of the LC.
