TRULY USEFUL INTERVIEW TIPS From a disgruntled recruiter. I wrote this back in 2009 when I first stepped into the recruitment industry, full with angst.

It might sound crude, but it’s an honest account of what I experienced (back then).

So what do you have to do in an interview?

READ ON…

1.DO NOT TALK MORE THAN USUAL UNLESS REQUIRED TO.

Shut up when someone’s talking. We are not interested in your cat or what you had for lunch.

2. NO SLANGS LIKE :“YOLO, OMFG OR OH SHIT" TO THE

INTERVIEWER.

Trust me, they will feel like killing you just like I did back then.

3. DO NOT (ROAR) RAISE YOUR VOICE SO LOUD THAT IT CAN BE HEARD OUTSIDE THE INTERVIEW

ROOM.

Are you auditioning for Lion King?

4. DO NOT TELL THE INTERVIEWER YOU ARE INTENDING TO FURTHER

YOUR STUDIES WITHIN A YEAR.

If you do, you are just wasting the company’s time to groom you and have you leave after one year. You are just as irritating as the goblin.

5. DO NOT TALK TO YOURSELF DURING AN

INTERVIEW. You don't want to look like a lunatic.

6. DO NOT LIE WHEN ASKED ABOUT YOUR REASON FOR

LEAVING YOUR JOBWe want to know why you quit, honestly.

7. DO SMILE, BUT DO NOT BREAK UP INTO HYSTERICAL

LAUGHTER. Suppress your insanity PLEASE.

8. DO NOT FOLD YOUR ARMS AND CROSS YOUR LEGS OR

SLUMP LIKE A BOSS
