Needle Roller Bearings Manufacturer The machined needle roller bearings are characterized by high rigidity and high precision. Needle roller bearings are the specific type of the roller bearings which have the radial rollers (known as needle rollers) of significantly smaller diameter compared to their lengths. They are comprised of a machined outer ring, needle rollers, a cage and an optional machined inner ring. This type of bearings have space-saving design as rollers have smaller cross-sectional area and are able to bear larger loads compared to ball or cylindrical roller bearings.

COMBINED NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING

NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING

A needle roller bearing features high-precision rigid outer rings and retainers. Its compact design provides low cross-sectional area, which leads to reduced size and weight.

CAM FOLLOWER

Cam followers are compact and highly rigid bearings with a solid stud in the place of inner ring. Cam followers features high load carrying ability and are most suitable for the guiding roller for cam mechanisms and linear motions.

ROLLER FOLLOWER

Roller followers are compact and highly rigid bearings with internal design similar to that of needle roller bearings. Thick outer ring design ensures high load bearing ability and nullifies the effect of vibrations.

Combined needle roller bearing has complex design which contains needle rollers and thrust balls to support radial and axial load at same time. This provides a more compact solution when compared to installing a needle roller bearing and a thrust ball bearing separately.

The mentioned work-week schedule is just an example. In reality, technical engineers at Nose Seiko have to work on multiple on-going tasks; therefore, I got opportunities to work on various subjects at the same time. In general, my job is R&D project-based; in other words, there is not much repetitive and monotonous work. Here are some examples of the projects that I have been working on recently:

Production Automation In order to respond to the 4th industrial revolution, Nose Seiko has been developing fully automatic production line for the manufacturing of our products – needle roller bearings. We aim to improve our manufacturing efficiency and increase the profitability. For this reason, I went for a business trip to attend Hannover Messe (the world’s largest industrial fair held in Germany), as well as the mechanical and technology exhibitions in Tokyo to keep track of recent developments in the field of manufacturing technologies.. I am currently the person-in-charge for the Robot Production System. I am programming and incorporating an industrial robot into the production line. I have been working closely with my supervisors and learning about the knowledge of machinery design and production technology on daily basis

Product design using Numerical Analysis (FEA) and 3D CAD software I was given the opportunity to utilize what I learnt from college, such as the usage of structural analysis (FEA) and 3D CAD software. They are highly practical, especially for working in product designs and analysis. I have conducted several researches and published technical reports related to the bearings that we manufacture. I am utilizing my knowledge in designing new products and modifying existing products. I highly enjoy the flexibility in work at Nose Seiko. As long as it can benefit the Company, I am encouraged to work on any technical research and propose new ideas for further development.

Lifestyle﹕ Living in Japan is awesome! It is easy to grow accustomed to the culture and environment. The courtesy and friendliness of people around made me so comfortable; I am so fond to the life in Japan. Regarding the accommodation, the Company helped me to rent an apartment before my arrival in Osaka, which is located within a walking distance from the office. With an improvement in Japanese conversation skill, it is feasible to deal with the estate agency by myself and move to other place freely. Japanese cuisine and food are famous for being fresh and healthy, delicious and enjoyable especially for a sushi-lover like me. In terms of transportation, the railway system in Osaka is well developed; it is very convenient for me to travel to downtown or different places in Japan during free-time. After-work hangouts, gathering with friends, and even snowboarding tour with co-workers, have enhanced my enjoyable social life in Japan. I like travelling during long weekends and vacations, and to experience the unique culture and diversities in Japan! The four seasons are quite distinct in Japan, where I can experience the beautiful cherry blossoms (sakura) in spring, beach sports and fireworks in summer, autumn leaves (koyo), ski and snowboarding in winter, as well as visiting those World Heritage Sites and festivals throughout the year. A superb adventure!

About life in Japan

Learning Japanese language: Mastering a new language from scratch is not an easy goal unless you are a ‘linguistic genius’. However, with the assistance provided by the Company ,the path of learning Japanese has become interesting and satisfying. A condensed basic Japanese language course was arranged for me before starting my work in Japan, which was very helpful to me. In addition to that, two of my coworkers provided me tutorials twice a week after work during my first year in the Company. There are many opportunities of self-study once I have started my life in Japan, such as watching local dramas and anime, and participating in social gatherings. Setting goals helps a lot too. I have passed the N3-level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) last July, and now I am targeting to achieve the most difficult level – N1 this year!
