What is the Michelin Technical Scholars Program?

Michelin North America offers scholarships to select students in the Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) major at Midlands Technical College.

The scholarship covers:• Cost of tuition• Fees • Books• Paid Co-op program

What are the requirements?

• Must be a full time student enrolled in school year round in Midlands Technical College EET program

• Minimum 2.5 GPA

• Commitment to working up to 20 hours per week at Michelin during the program

• Strong math, science, reading and comprehension skills

• Aptitude to succeed in the field

How can I become a Michelin Technical Scholar?

• Demonstrate the potential for a career as an Electronic Engineering Technician with

satisfactory test scores in aptitude and math

• Successfully interview at a local Michelin facility to determine if you have the motivation and drive necessary to become a member of the Michelin team

What are the benefits?

• Upon successful completion of the Michelin Technical Scholar program, along with appropriate Michelin testing, scholars may be considered for full time employment upon graduation

• Full time Michelin Reliability Technicians can make around $45,000 plus to start and enjoy an award winning benefits package

• Reliability Technicians continue their education with approximately 2,000 hours of formal classroom and lab training timed to

allow development and progression throughout the formative years of their career
