Summary of Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal and presentation skills. I exercised this when I participated in the CFA inter-university challenge where I had to present our final project with my team members to a panel of judges.
Good researcher with a methodological approach to tasks and projects. I exercised this when I was working for Kenya Association of Manufacturer’s (KAM) through Dateline international to come up with the Manufacturing sector Industrial sector survey.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. I exercised this while working to prepare the project during the CFA university challenge where we had just one month to value Athi River Mining (ARM) stock and also make a future projection based on analyzing the market and coming up with a projection for the next 5 years.
Hobbies and InterestsReading-I love reading business journals and trying to keep myself up to date on what is happening in our financial and economic markets. Cooking-I enjoy cooking and trying to come up with new recipes. I find cooking therapeutic and its art to me. Making people smile after they have sampled my meal brings joy to me.Travelling-Travelling exposes me to new areas of our beautiful country and it accords me an opportunity to meet different people with different mind-sets and thus helps shape my thinking as well as improve my inter-personal skills.
Voluntary Involvement
Watu Wa Maana Children Centre (2011) I was involved in teaching the children and listening to them and giving them advice where necessary.Mully Children Family (2012) I was involved in a three day event where we preached to the children giving them advice on the campus experience and advising them on how to make viable choices in choosing the degree program to pursue in the university.Daily Vocational Bible School (2009-2014) I am usually involved in this programme whereby I get to help volunteer for a week in teaching Sunday school children about God’s word. It’s such a humbling experience getting to teach children about God’s word and just get to shape the kids view on life.
