Recruing online has significantly reduced the Council’s costs compared to local press adversing. They have also made massive me savings by allowing Easy Web to act as an RPO, taking responsibility for all their external recruit-ment processes. Our first year working with the council resulted in savings of £50,000.

Our close working relaonship meant that when the council merged with the Vale of White Horse council Easy Web were able to provide support throughout the process.

South South Oxfordshire District Council now have a recruitment partner they can trust, we’ve worked with them for over 3 years across nearly 100 recruitment campaigns. Throughout this period they have built a great working relaonship with their account manager, who now works with a number of contacts at the council, holding regular, face-to-face meengs to keep everything on track.

THE RESULT

An inial trial to test the effecveness of the service, Easy Web Recruitment began managing the online recruitment process for a range of roles. Our broad adversing reach helped to improve the response to their recruitment adver-sing, while our pre-screening of CVs reduced the number of unsuitable applicaons that reached their HR team.

Because Easy Web take a flexible approach to meeng our clients needs we were able to integrate and improve exisng aspects of the recruitment process like applicaon forms, and helped to maintain their commitments to an open and fair recruitment process by researching diversity related job boards, offering an imparal view on their value and likely effecveness and negoang trials on the council’s behalf.

THE SOLUTIONAs a public sector employer the council had very strict requirements with regards to their recruitment process. With a big annual spend on local press adversing and a recruitment process that required a lot of administrave resources, there was a strong desire to modernise and streamline their recruitment service.

In oIn order to reduce their admin and costs without reducing their commitments to diversity and equal opportunies, they needed a flexible service that could adapt to meet their way of working but help introduce more efficient methods.

Prior to their merger with Vale of White Horse Council, South Oxfordshire district Council employed around 260 staff in the Oxfordshire area across a number of depart-ments. Their significant investments in staff development and training had seen them accredited by Investors in People and rated one of the best councils to work for in the country by the Times newspaper.
