This previously state-owned Sugar Mills turned private sector refinery kicked off its operation under its new management in 2002. Since then, Deshbandhu Sugar Mills Ltd. remains the apex sugar refinery with its world class product quality and packaging. The success of Deshbandhu Sugar Mills Ltd. has crossed the borders and brought another laurel for Bangladesh by pioneering the country’s first ever export of sugar in to France under EBA initiative which they followed in later years as well.
