At any point in time, AIESEC has innumerous projects on offer which involve working on community issues anywhere and everywhere. Global diversity gives AIESECers several work abroad opportunities

and a truly multi-cultural experience even in one's own country.

The organization is so old and large that you could find an AIESECer in most universities around the world and all you need to do is say the two magical words

that binds this global village of leaders - 'Hey AIESEC!'

Sarabjeet is just one of 800,000 AIESEC alumni from 62 years of AIESEC’s history.

Present in over 1,100 universities with over 28,000 members, AIESEC offers unparalleled leadership development experiences to its mem-bers and creates a network of global change agents that have a positive impact on society.

I ran into AIESEC while surfing the web and landing at an international internship opportunity jointly organized by Alcatel Lucent and AIESEC. The opportunity looked great and suited my in-terests. I found out the application details and when I realized I had to be a member to apply, I was on my way to Kolkata, the nearest location that had an AIESEC chapter. The next few months were pretty much about understanding various programs of AIESEC and I certainly loved the frequent parties.

It was the summer of 2008 was when I met a couple of AIESECers in Cambridge, USA and that kept me thinking of why our college shoudn't have a local chapter. Though I hadn't gotten into the AIESEC exchange program, I loved the opportunities they were providing. I came back to college and spent the next couple of months trying to set-up an AIESEC extension chapter in KGP and I learnt a lot during that time. How to handle perception problems, what's the right size of a good team, how to hire people, how to create a new culture which breaks existing notions?
