ADN-This is a 2-year degree. Nurses with this degree usually cannot become managers or take on more responsibilities without further training.

RN-This is a 4-year degree. Nurses with this degree often have a specialty such as a neonatal nursing degree of surgical nursing degree.

Nurse Practitioner-This is usually a RN with a master’s degree. They can perform many of the tasks that doctors can such as prescribing most medications.

The Nurse cares for the patient’s physical, emotional, psychological, and even spiritual needs.

The nurse is her patients advocate.

The nurse cares for the basic needs of her patients such as feeding them, helping them to the bathroom, encouraging them, administering their medications, and much more.

Travelling Nurses•Get to travel the country or even the world as they work with different organizations, hospitals, or even missionary groups!

•The pay is considerably greater because the nurse is not staying in one place for long.

Medical Missionary Nurses•Nurses are employed by a missionary association or with a church.•These nurses are not in nursing for the pay and usually raise their own support or are payed a minimal amount.

Neonatal Nurses•Work with newborns and with high-risk births•These nurses get to care for the newborns by feeding, changing diapers, giving medicine, and much more.
