The company provides expert advice, analysis and forecasting through its publishing of industry reports and other information.

Much of the company’s published information is provided via its own Intranet-based information delivery solution, enabling clients to securely access the company’s subscription documents behind its firewall with no client installation required. FULFILLING PRESENT AND FUTURE INFORMATION ACCESS NEEDS

In keeping with its strong “Customer First” corporate culture, the company recognized the need to provide a new, advanced level of information discovery functionality beyond its existing Intranet solution solution. Doing so was essential to maximize clients’ ability to quickly review and act upon insights gained from the company subscription documents, ensuring informed high-impact decision-making with confidence. Additionally, the typical Intranet solution end user was highly technically savvy, actively looking for new ways to maximize business value from Intranet solution.

From the beginning, the Attivio team worked collaboratively with the company Intranet solution and Center of Excellence team members to not only carefully review the company’s stated solution requirements, but what the future functionality of Intranet solution should be. AN AGILE PLATFORM FOR NEXT-GENERATION ADVANCED ENTERPRISE SEARCH

Attivio stood out from other products evaluated by the company, not only with its impressive technology, but also the highly agile nature of the software enabling rapid prototyping and development. The Attivio team completed the entire first phase of the company’s Intranet solution proof-of-concept requirements in just four days by one Solution Architect, plus the delivery of “extra credit” requirements, including those noted above, which the company’s solution team had indicated would be important future Intranet solution features.

The company’s team concluded Attivio offered the fastest time-to-market and future product development options, as well as the best end-user experience and performance.

Additionally, unlike other solutions, AIE is designed for easy use as OEM technology. As a result, the company’s existing in-house development resources could end its complex, resource-intensive programming activities and instead develop effectively on the AIE platform in a fraction of the time demanded by traditional in-house development, and with no need for additional costly resources.

“Attivio’s Active Intelligence Engine has allowed us to leap frog our previous capabilities, and has given us a platform that can fully support our product roadmap and vision for future innovation,” said Richard Hermann, VP of Global Platforms & Technology at the company. “They were also able to do this faster and more cost-effectively than any other supplier we evaluated.

“Attivio AIE truly allows us to focus on our core competencies: highly reliable technical content with deep domain expertise in our focus industries.”
