COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

1. Open Data Initiative engagement with public sector, IHLs, private, startup companies and Big Data and Open Data communities to build strong relationship and identify supply and demand request on open datasets in transportation focus area.

2. 33 participants – 13 from 9 agencies/ministries (SPAD, MOT, DOSM, MBPJ, MIROS, LLM and JKJR) and 20 representatives from private, startup, IHLs and communities. (Prasarana, Sinar Project, Big Data Malaysia, TransitWatch, MapIT MSC, Agmo Studio, MMU, APU etc.)

- MDeC would like to collaborate with MyBRAIN15 in promoting Big Data Analytics Post Graduate Scholarships

- Requesting each IHL to nominate 2 lecturers to be the supervisors for BDA post graduate degree under MyBrain15 scholarship by 7 Aug 2015.

- The campaign will highlight the lecturers area of expertise in BDA
