Introduction
• Reading habit helps in improving comprehension, accuracy, fluency and increasing vocabulary• Reading provokes questioning, helps in generating ideas and
inspires them to think• Reading habit of the students is going down day by day• Reading newspaper is such a particular exercise that not only
gives an insight to the world around, but gives us an inner relief• Many alternatives such internet, mobile, social media, news
channel, radio etc. have been Developed over the recent past due to this the reading habits of students are coming down
Background Literature
• WPT-2012 had survey that compare to physical newspaper in India there are 35.4% are the users who ever uses website of newspaper however, 9.9% are the users who visit a paper site daily and 2.1% people are the users who paper pages at website visits. While the 52.7% are the people who uses physical newspaper with the vernacular languages.
• In Year 2010-11’ survey done by Ramanujan Iyer for state wise analysis Utter Pradesh is 1st state with 3.08 cr. Copies.• While Gujarat is at 5th state with 91 lakhs copies.

• To improve newspaper readability among the college students.• To find which newspaper students prefer most.• To find out how much portion of newspaper students use to read.• To know for what reason students are preferred to read
newspaper.• To analyze which particular section is preferred by the students.• To find out hindrance of students for regular reading of

Conclusion
• In the increasing use of the internet Most of the students are want to read newspaper on website.• Students cannot get the maximum information from the
Divya Bhaskar and titles are so much complex.• Most of the students prefer TOI due to colour and
glamour of the page.• The main hindrance of the daily newspaper reading is
time gap to use for reading of newspaper.• Information about education are so less and it not much
useful for the readability.
Suggestion
• Divya Bhaskar has to provide educational column (like G.K., Maths, reasoning questions for competitive exam, Bank, GPSC, UPSC exam) every day and can conduct competition in the month.• Add one facility in Divya Bhaskar Application that give
upcoming competitive exam alert. • Add column of personality development tips, tips of how
to face interview.• Give chance to students to publish their research paper. • To make proper choices on the religious strategy.
