I N T R O D U C T I O N Johannesburg also known as Jozi or
Jo'burg , is the largest city in South Africa. Johannesburg is the provincial capital of
Gauteng, the wealthiest province in South Africa.
It is linked with several metropolitan areas & abbreviated as JHB.
The city is the source of a large-scale gold and diamond trade & hence known as the city of Gold.
GEOGRAPHY Johannesburg is located in the eastern plateau area of South Africa known as the
Highveld, at an elevation of 1,753 meters (5,751 ft).
Area of the City is 1,644.96 km2(635.1sqmi)

the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills.
City Scape Johannesburg is one of the most modern
and prosperous cities in South Africa. It is the hub of commercial, financial,
industrial, and mining undertakings of South Africa.
