Geological Products and ServicesTGS Geological Products and Services offers multi-disciplinary geoscience consultancy focussed on oil and gas exploration.

The company provides clients with a unique range of multi-client products and proprietary services. With more than 40 experienced geoscientists in our London office, we provide integrated solutions for exploration, appraisal and development.

Some of our recent projects include:

North West Africa Atlantic Margin Seismic Interpretation

An interpretation of 17,000 km of 2D regional seismic data in an under explored region of Africa. Source and reservoir rocks were identified and a series of petroleum systems mapped. A comprehensive report of the area was produced to document the findings.

Bonaparte Basin Sequence Stratigraphy Study (FMB)

A complete sequence stratigraphic study of the Bonaparte Basin in Western Australia. 165 wells were fully interpreted to provide chrono, litho and sequence strat tops, lithologies, depositional environments and facies. 35 gross depositional environment maps were produced from the well interpretation, tied to a reference seismic data set.

Porcupine Basin Interpretation

An integrated geophysical study of a very under explored basin, offshore Western Ireland. This included a full seismic interpretation of the basin plus an AVO screening exercise to support identified leads.

Labrador Sea Interpretation

A fully integrated geoscience interpretation. This includes a structural interpretation of the seismic data; sequence stratigraphic study of the well data and a play fairway analysis. The deliverables include gross depositional environment maps; seismic facies maps and composite risk maps.

Norway License Round Applications

This consisted of a screening exercise of open acreage, block evaluations, prospect mapping and volumetrics. Furthermore, TGS completed the final license application that was submitted to the NPD. TGS has successfully applied for over 15 blocks in Norway and UK with a greater than 80% success rate.

Services Provided

TGS’ core skills are in geophysics, geology and petrophysics. Working in small, multi-disciplinary teams, we can provide a range of technical services.

Why TGS

ExperienceTGS Geological Products and Services has a wide range of experience both in areas worked and in technical studies. This experience can be brought to bear on any project to ensure there is an optimum result. It also means that new ideas can be used in different areas to create new plays and prospects, thereby enhancing the prospectivity of an area.

Project Management and Quality ControlTGS employs an experienced project manager to plan and manage all projects. This ensures that projects deliver on time and to the right specification. There is a built in quality control process to ensure that the project is delivered to a high quality first time.

SkillsTGS has a wide range of skills available to deploy on any exploration project. This enables the right skills to be deployed at the right time to minimise the risk of failure or a poor quality product.

Multi-clientTGS delivers most of its products as multi-client interpretations. This means that project sponsors can have an input into the scope and deliverables of the study and can get access to the report sooner than their competitors. Moreover, all companies benefit from the reduced cost of the project in comparison to proprietary or internal studies.
