ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A NEW WEBSITE
If Santa were a website designer, here’s the list of
what you’d ask him for:
Great images: Santa would only use
photos that create a real connection between you
and your customers.
A beautiful slider: Slides lead users through
your content.
Negative space: Don’t crowd every page
with as much information as possible.
Well-written text: Copy on a website should be
brief and powerful.
Compelling headlines: Websites make better
billboards than magazines.
Modern fonts: People will be turned off
if there are poor or outdated font choices.
Products/Services Make it clear what you’re selling. That shouldn’t be
an afterthought.
Benefits: Make sure you make it clear
what the benefits are.
Trust builders: These could be news
publications featuring your business, logos of clients or testimonials, reviews, etc.
Calls to action: Each page should have a
button that is easier to click than any other.
Multiple ways to contact: Social media channels, phone
numbers, email addresses, even snail mail.
An About Us page: Make it easy for people to
know if you are who they’re looking for.
Simple navigation: Navigation should be
easy to spot but not in the way.
Search function: A lot of times that’s the first
thing people look for.
Mobile friendliness: Over half of all the
web searches are on mobile devices.
