“We planned to be in this home for the long haul. I typically use vinyl windows in my homes, but we were willing to spend just a little bit more money on a more stable frame

material to minimize expansion and retraction and therefore potential air leaks and difficult operation over time. The stability of the Fibrex® material used in the Andersen®

100 Series windows seemed to fit the bill while not having the larger cost of a full wood or fiberglass window. We were also interested in having a dark bronze exterior on the

windows which is offered in the 100 Series. Thankfully, Low-E is also standard on the windows and we added argon gas in them as well, as energy efficiency was a large concern.

Once ordered, the expected arrival date you gave us was very accurate. The windows were in excellent shape when delivered to the job site with the edges and nailing fins carefully

wrapped in a thick cardboard cushion. Once installed, the windows were beautiful. I have to say, they are the nicest finish of a residential window I have ever seen, even when com-

pared to a wood or fiberglass window. The miters on the frames were perfect with no gaps or weld seams. Operation is immaculate on every window.

But the real test came just a week or so after we moved into our new home…the wind test. We had a day where we had sustained winds around 35 to 40 mph, gusting even higher

and not the smallest draft came from any of the windows. That was the proof I needed as to the worthiness of these Andersen 100 Series windows.”
