We devised an advertising campaign with two different print advertisements to educate people against using cellphones on airplanes. The campaign was designed with the Foundation for a Better Life as our client, as they often broadcast messages to the public about good etiquette and social moral behavior.

WHO ARE WE TALKING TO?!

WHAT DO THEY THINK/FEEL/DO NOW?!

Frequent business and leisure travelers, !aged 25 and up, who value their comfort while flying. !These passengers are middle class, well-educated and primarily fly economy/coach.!!

I like the convenience of using my cell phone to make a quick call in-flight. However, I’m concerned some people may abuse the privilege of talking on their phones that will last the duration of flight, hence inconveniencing other passengers.!!

Being on a plane with people who are talking on their cell phones would be very annoying and inconvenient—maybe even dangerous. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near a passenger constantly talking on a phone, and I definitely don’t want to be ‘that guy’ on a flight.!

People are more likely to judge the behavior of others and worry about how it affects them than to think about governing their own behavior.!!

SO, THEN WE CHECKED INTO A GREAT HOTEL AND THEY HAD THIS AMAZING BREAKFAST BUFFET...

NO WAY! I HAD THE PANCAKES WITH FRESH BERRIES...

YEAH, I KNOW. THERE WERE, LIKE, ELEVEN DIFFERENT KINDS OF CEREAL AND A MAKE!YOUR!OWN OMLETTE STATION WITH A CHEF...

Using your cell phone on airplanes can be disturbing to your seatmates, and can also cause you and fellow passengers to miss important announcements from the pilot and crew members.

SAVE YOUR BREATH. IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE.
