The common lawn shared by La and BM_BT dept is a good interactive space and the trees and

landscaping provides good microclimate for both the building. But during high peak of the day its not

been used, so proper landscaping with shades can be provided over there.

The lawn in front of library with the tea stall(very good interactive space) , it even has rose garden and

some deciduous trees.

The gardens between main building and the mechanical department creates a buffer between both the

blocks yet it keeps a visual connectivity.

The trees around NCC ground provides aesthetics and shade to the main building but not for reducing

noise and smoke.

The green spaces helps to decrease the surrounding temperature.

The courtyard in all the dept can be properly maintained and landscaped to make it much more

interactive

Seating can be placed in the common spaces

Rows of trees can be there at the side of the road to provide shade and also a linear vista

INFERENCE (BM-BT DEPARTMENT)• 2 entrances

• No fire exit.

• Travel distance is more than 40mts metres between 2 staircase.

• Ramp 1:10 ratio, thus it couldn’t be used by wheel chairs.

• Courtyard not properly utilized. It doesn’t properly gives ventilation in the upper floor

• Casement windows (bad), so no cross ventilation but for humidity it remains cool inside.

• Presently, single loaded corridor is there. Double loaded corridor can be there, as gaps in the middle can be utilized as interactive space.

• North side is the classroom which is very good

• Recessed windows are there with thick wall, which is good as thermal mass. Thus provide cool interior

• Because of the plantation in front of the dept, it keeps the inside cool

• Universal design
