BRIEF


DESIGN A CONCEPT CITY / URBAN VEHICLE

THAT BRINGS TOGETHER & COMBINES THE BENEFITS OF A

2-WHEELER AND A 4-WHEELER INTO ONE VEHICLE CONCEPT


The situation

Average Indian city roads are crowded, chaotic, dusty and polluted. While two-wheelers give you the comfort of

squeezing through the traffic and reaching the destination faster, they are also unsafe in accidents; Passengers

are exposed to polluted air, unpredictable weather conditions and have limited luggage space.

At the same time 4 wheelers come with great comfort but occupy huge space on the road for most of the times

just transporting one passenger. Neither can they squeeze through traffic nor can they be fuel efficient.


The Actor

Jay is a 27 year old Graphics designer, perusing a masters in business development. He needs to run up and

down connecting to his design studio while in the afternoon connects to University in the heart of the city.

In the evening he catches up with friends before getting back home 5km out of city limits.

This is a reflection of his busy lifestyle, which also extends into his social being.

Modes of urban transport in India blend the best of both worlds. Flexibility of a 2 wheeler and

the safety of a 4 wheeler. They opt for 3 wheels and develop a character of their own.

Jay’s individuality is expressed in these vehicles character and function. The three wheel layout providing a perfect platform to base a solution .
