Filming Start 1 The first thing to be filmed in our music video was the ink in water. I filmed this myself before we got back to school as I knew it would look good in the music video we were going to create and if it didn’t work then we didn’t have to use it at all. This was a small task, didn’t take very long and the end product is used in our video to create a homemade smoky effect that we used at low opacity in our video.

Filming Start 1• The first thing to be filmed in our music video was the ink in

water. I filmed this myself before we got back to school as I knew it would look good in the music video we were going to create and if it didn’t work then we didn’t have to use it at all.

Filming start 2• Our first day of filming was taken up filming short parts of a lip sync which would go at the

beginning of our music video. We set up lighting and different angles before filming and tested different lighting shots before we started filming. The Room was darkened so that we could use the white light over natural light to get a better look in our final video. My Partner filmed the first parts after we set the cameras up together, I then took the bits we had and filmed and edited them on Premier Pro.

• Whilst Filming we realised that the lip sync alone wouldn’t be enough as it was too bland and so we chose another day to film some more for this part of the music video. This was scheduled for another day. Whilst recording the song was playing so that all the lip sync was in time as we had seen some videos in the past with very bad lip syncing and we wanted to better this with something that looked a bit more professional.

Editing Music Video… Start 1• I was the one that started the editing process for our music video. I had the footage on my camera which I

placed onto the computer and put into order after we decided which take we both thought was the best. At this point all we had was the lip sync and nothing else so after adding it I spoke to my partner about adding more to it and about adding the ink effect I had already filmed to the video and he thought this would be a good idea.

• Steps:• First thing I had to do was put the footage onto premier pro, this was a simple drag and drop task and very

simple, we had already filmed the footage in black and white so we didn’t have to edit it at all and it was in time with the MP3 because whilst recording the song was playing at the same time.

• Once the footage was on there I put the ink film onto premier pro and added an effect to make it black and white, after this it was a case of placing the videos above one and other and changing the opacity of the ink to make it appear faintly in the background. All I had to do to achieve this was to move the yellow line down to make the video faint. The effect used was Tint which turned the footage black and white and made it look very good within our video.

• Once this was done we knew we had to film some more and so we arranged another day to film.
