Last year’s Accessibility 2.0 was inspiring to me.
Following the requests and the talks I developed and started a few cool things.

Success ✓Impact ✓Movement ☕
It is very easy...
F = ma“the net force on an object is equal to the mass of the object mulKplied by its acceleraKon.”
Right now, we are a mass, but not a force.
We don’t move in one direcKon which means we have not much impact.
Last year’s Accessibility 2.0 was inspiring to me.
What are the reasons?
We should not be grumpy
A smile gets us further.
The social web problem.
Last year we bitched a lot about the inaccessibility of Web 2.0
Nowadays we do embrace the social web as a way to deliver our message, right?

It is all too geeky!
430,000 registered users ‐ about 70,000 in a day.
3.6 million pageviews per day ‐ registered users only.
10 million actual request per day.
900 new users sign up per day.
50,000 new posts being wri*en each day.
2.3 million kni[ng/crochet projects
19 million forum posts,
13 million private messages,
8 million photos (the majority are hosted by Flickr).

The real issue is a lack of honesty!
Branding holds us back...
http://developer-evangelism.com/brand-and-competition.php
Keeping our eye on the brand leads to a lack of flagship examples of how to do things right.
“Accessible web sites don’t need to be ugly!”
Finding things...

There is another way...

So why does it work for a company like Yahoo?
Is it because of amazing developers there?
passion + talent = accessibility
We have the knowledge, all we need is to show the passion and tell the world.
You don’t need to know everything.
But you need to listen, collaborate and communicate!
Praesentation by Aurelien Levy and Stephane
Deschamps.

Teaching means being open.
It is all about being up to date...
So here is one thing I want you to do from now when talking about screen readers...
INNOVATION
NVDA JAWS3 > 1
http://www.nvda-project.org/
Accessibility should be like “Made in Germany”
1887 the UK introduced“Made in Germany”...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Made_in_Germany
...as a measure to name and shame foreign products and convince people to “Buy BriKsh”
Only a few months later “Made in Germany” established itself as a quality indicator and it sKll is.
Accessibility can be the same ‐ if we sell it right.
So join me in ge[ng off your bo*oms and saying“I will make the web more accessible, starKng now!”
