FRONT: most awarded designer rug collections
http://www.wearefront.com/
This rug design takes inspiration from the heart of an 100 year old oak tree’s
structure. With this bespoke design you can bring nature right inside your
home. The iconic rug gives a sense of permanence to your own personal
space or indeed a creative workspace.
The design is available in two distinct finishes. The first is pure wool. This fibre is
suitable for both home or office space. The second is a moisture-resistant fibre
that shrugs off the humid atmosphere either in a bathroom or outside.

One of the most pleasurable beachside activities is walking barefoot across
the sand. Imagine being able to experience that sensation without having to
leave your own home. This rug beautifully re-creates the soft and subtle
nature of sand. You can be immediately transported and inspired; it really is
a beach in a rug!
Worthy winner of the Elle Decoration International Design Award this rug
will allow you to have your very own seaside landscape in the tranquility of
your own home. Interior designers can exploit its moody atmosphere and
create the relaxing ambience of the beach. Its pale palette will blend with a
pastel-themed marine décor.

BEACH
The finely sculpted lines of this rug appear like water ripples across a river
bed, river estuary or beach. It’s as if this is a picture of sand grains having
accumulated into ridges by the wind. It is an environment that forms as
liquid travels across a loose bed of a slow moving river or tidal estuary.
Over millions of years dunes expand beyond their margins and move while
changing dynamically. The design within this rug creates a sense of the vast
landscape but within the confines of our own personal environment. Have
your very own sand sea or imagine the ripples on a muddy estuary
depending on the gradient colour wash you choose.

DUNE
The symmetrical patterning of sand ripples is mesmeric. This rug design takes
these waves as a starting point but shifts expectation by using a marine palette
instead of the usual colour of sand.
The pattern forms a spectacular optical illusion. This illusion helps to make a
space bigger than it really is. This is achieved by confusing the eye and relying on
the brain to make the associations of long stretches of coastline and sand dunes
stretches as far as the eye can see.
This rug with its subtle colour palette and illusory ambience looks very impressive
in spaces that are large enough to allow it to breathe. Its beautiful form and
texture can be truly appreciated with a little distance.
Its material is lustred cotton and is made totally by hand-tufted method. This
means strands of cotton are punched onto the canvas as it rests in its frame. It
can be customized to individual specifications regarding shape, size and colour.

FLOATING CURL
The engraved swirl within this rug gives the appearance of a bird’s eye view. The
particular view in question is that of a swirling stream. This perspective highlights
the intricate patterning of something we rarely see in its entirety.
This is a pattern is full of movement, defying the very nature of our understanding
of rugs. The lines are things that appear to move as if by magic in front of our
eyes. Its swirling nature is relaxing and inspiring. If you need something creative
for a home or work space this rug will literally fill the gap.
It is made of lustred cotton and has been completely hand tufted to give its soft,
chic finish. This rug can be made in any size or shape you might wish and can be
completed in a wide range of colours. It is also possible to ask for this rug to be
made in the gradient version.

ENGRAVED SWIRL
A labyrinth of lines has been utilised in this design. These labyrinthine patterns
are the basis of a rug design that is reminiscent of ocean waves. This pattern
doesn’t appear two-dimensional. The reason for this is the use of silk and wool
filigree is sculpted to create a different effect. These swirling lines in turn, create a
palpable sense and feeling of texture. The New Zealand wool used in its creation
means the rug is extremely soft and hard-wearing.
The texture and softness, pattern and overall design, means this rug style would
be absolutely ideal for wall-to-wall floor coverings. Imagine what a dramatic
addition this will make to any interior design.
Being completely hand-tufted, it is also available in a wide range of sizes, shapes
and colours to suit your circumstance. The Swirl Deluxe will make the perfect
design statement in your home or high end, creative office space.

The hypnotic qualities of the wide splashing ocean can transform your home or
office space with its rhythmic movement and relaxing design. A marine colour
gives the association of ozone and spume. This individual design is reminiscent of
breaking waves at the end of a long journey. It is as if these rugs represent
powerful movement while you remain in one place.
Each of these rugs can be custom made. Request any shape or colour, you just
have to say. In fact should you wish a wall-to-wall carpet this can be achieved by

OCEAN
AN
Sea urchins exhibit pentamerism or five fold symmetry. They move using tiny,
transparent tube feet with many and varied colours and hues. The designer
Michaela Schleypen has used this as a starting point for a round rug. Each design
pays homage to these sea urchins or spiny hedgehog-like creatures. Urchin is a
the traditional word for hedgehog.
These bold lines and dots comprising this five fold symmetry are dramatically
reconstructed by the designer within intense and vivid blues that compose this
flattened version. It is these magnified markings that create these optical 3D
effects.
To deliver a further synergy some of the rugs even have a hole in their centre that
is a neat idea that is sure to create a talking point. A careful study of these
creatures means the design for these rugs radiate out from the central axes.
The rugs are made of lustre cotton and are made using the hand-tufted method.
They are made in and size, shape or colour required.

SEA URCHIN
The fashion for crocodile skin has most definitely passed. That doesn’t mean we
cannot appreciate the subtlety and beauty of this prehistoric and powerful
creature. We just don’t need to possess it.
Faux crocodile skin really offers the very best of both worlds. No crocodile is hurt
in the production of one of these rugs! But the creature’s pattern lends itself to a
design that will bring power and drama to any interior design scheme. The rug
comes in crocodile brown and also in a more ethereal representation where the
design is further accentuated by the marine, watery turquoise colour.
Its lustre cotton accentuates the textures of this rug. Being hand tufted there is a
texturised quality about the whole piece. Although it belongs to the tradition of
animal skin it takes contemporary sensibilities into mind. This rug has a timeless
quality that can be made in any size, shape or colour without damage to the
natural environment.

CROCO DELUXE
The banana leaf really is the epitome of luxurious and verdant growth. The whole
plant is composed of leaves. These massive foliar displays are the plant and there
is no stalk. Michaela Schleypen seems to have laid out a whole banana plant itself
to create this rug.
The texturised cotton further accentuates the shape of the leaves and this rug will
be a conversation piece wherever it happens to be placed. Its subtle tones make a
stunning foil for bolder interior design statements. However with the choice of
size, shape and colour in the individual’s hands this banana leaf rug can be
transformed into a green tropical jungle should you wish.
Banana leaves are glossy and soft and the designer has made use of fine sculpting
to bring these leaves into sharp relief with each leaf composed of intricate detail.
The lustre cotton gives a silkiness that will be much appreciated by anyone
walking barefoot on this tropical paradise.
