How to Make a Segmented Beaded Necklace

Materials: 10 glass oval beads-size 12mm x 16mm 1 double gold jump ring 1 gold lobster clasp 18 glass seed beads 18 pearl beads 9 glass bicone beads size 6mm 20 gauge gold wire cut into 19 pieces, each 2" in length chain nose pliers round nose pliers wire cutters Step 1: Create a round loop on one end of the wire using round nose pliers. Step 2: Slide on a red pearl bead, gold seed bead, and blue bicone bead in the order shown. Step 3: Cut off excess wire with wire cutters on the opposite end of the loop, leaving 1/2 inch of wire. Step 4: Make a 2nd round loop to create a multi-bead segment. Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 using a large oval bead as shown, creating a single bead segment (make 10 of these total.) Step 6: With chain nose pliers, open one loop of a single bead segment. Step 7: Connect one multi-bead segment and close the loop. Step 8: Open the opposite end loop of the multi-bead segment and connect another single-bead segment. Close the loop. Step 9: Continue connecting segments, alternating the pattern as shown, ending with a single-bead segment. Step 10: Open the last loop of the single-bead segment on one end of the necklace and attach a double jump ring. Close the loop. Step 11: On the other end of the necklace, open the last end of the loop and attach a lobster clasp. Close the loop Finished!
