In designing a logo for the new touch tank aquarium in Campbell River, I put together several options that
reflected the volunteer board’s criteria. Some of the sketches are below, and the chosen logo is at the right.

Sometimes a client doesn’t want a logo icon, they want a whole graphic look. Stock photos provided images for Val Barr and the EcoCentre;
artist Teresa Wild’s painting inspired Howling Silver Moon; and I used my own photo and illustration for Sunmaker and VSCD.

Logos rarely, if ever, stand alone; they’re built to multi-task! Their most common incarnations arebusiness cards. For some clients I often suggest double sided cards: they usually cost the same as
single sided cards, with the advantage of spreading out the text over two faces.
