Q: How can wallcovering change the

A: Wallcovering is truly versatile. It can:

Q: Is wallcovering economical?

A: While the initial investment may seem

high, many of today's wallcoverings are

durable and have an average life span

of seven to ten years. Most vinyl

wallcovering can retain their original

beauty and strength for at least 15 years.

Q: How do I maintain my wallcovering?

A: Wallcoverings are easy to clean. Starting from the bottom of the wall and working

upwards, sponge gently with mild detergent in warm water. Rinse thoroughly with

clean warm water, again using a sponge. Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. For wallcovering

that is delicate or not washable, clean with a dry cleaning sponge.

Q: What are the different types of wallcoverings available in the market?

A: Paper Wallcovering is more "breathable" which makes it best for use in low moisture

rooms. It is also available in embossed form and is usually sponge washable.

Vinyl Wallcovering has a paper substrate on which the decorative surface has been

sprayed on or coated with acrylic type vinyl or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). They are

classified as scrubbable and strippable, and are suitable in almost any area.

Textile Wallcovering is usually laminated to an acrylic or paper backing. Natural fiber

textiles can be finely designed or coarse in texture depending on the desired look.

Specialty Wallcovering includes acoustic wallcovering with sound-absorbing properties.

Other materials ranging from grass cloth, straw, metall ic foils, ceramic

chips, cork veneer, whiteboard wallcoverings and handpainted wallcoverings are

also available.

Q: What are the factors to consider in

selecting the right carpet?

A: Construction and Fiber. The look

and per formance of a carpet is

determined by its construction, which

may be loop, cut or combination of

cut and loop. In heavy traffic areas,

loop piles of low, dense construction

tend to retain their appearance and

resiliency.

The type of fiber used also affects the

performance of the carpzet. Nylon is

most widely used in commercial

applications as it provides excellent

wearability, abrasion resistance and

resilience. Wool is usually used in rugs

and other residential applications.

Wool is expensive yet popular for its

luxury because it is soft, has high bulk and

is available in many colors and patterns.

Q: What are the factors to consider in Color Scheme and Pattern?

A: Colors and patterns in a carpet can create a distinctive atmosphere and

serve a practical purpose, such as differentiating areas. Medium colors and

multicolor blends are best for hiding soil in high traffic areas. Earth tone colors

are used for a soothing effect whereas warm colors are used to convey energy

and vitality.

Q: What are the advantages of using carpets?

A: Carpets are great for cushioning our footsteps and minimizing slips and falls.

Not only do carpets serve as a beautiful floor covering, it also acts as a sound

barrier between floors by helping to block sound transmission to rooms below.

Q: What are the best ways to maintain carpets?

A: For simple maintenance, use a good vacuum cleaner to effectively remove

dirt and sand. Most carpets are treated for stain resistance but that does not

mean "total stain proof". Address spills quickly for easiest spot removal. Have

your carpet deep-cleaned on a regular basis - every 12 to 18 months - by a

professional cleaning company before it begins to show signs of soil ing.

Q: What should I consider when

choosing a fabric?

A: Read the information given about

each fabric carefully. In particular,

consider the following: Pattern repeats,

Design alignment, Shrinkage and Care

instructions.

Q: Does Goodrich supply aluminum

tracking and the likes for curtains to

be installed?

A: Yes, in l ine with our company's

philosophy to continuously improve

on our products and services, we also

supply and insta l l the hardware

required, such as aluminum tracking,

pole rods, wood rods, etc, for window

treatments.

Q: What do you mean by “high performance fabric”?

A: High performance fabrics are made with higher tolerance, that is, high rub

cycles. They also undergo quality testing such as the Martindale Test which is

an abrasion test where the fabric is rubbed with considerable pressure over

and over again. The test ends when three threads are broken, and the number

of rubs depends on how tough the fabric has to be. For example, a 20,000 rub

cycle is indicated for the Martindale - that means three threads were broken

after 20,000 rubs.

Some high performance fabrics may also have fire retardant qualities. Goodrich

carries a collection of mostly USA-certified fire retardant fabrics.

Q: Do you have any blackout fabrics?

A: Yes, we certainly do, from PVC and foam-backed blackout to 4-Pass layering.

The range comes in plain or with subtle texture in a wide array of colors.

LAMINATEFLOORINGQ: How long will installation take?

A: Only one day is required for the installation of an 800sqf area for a residential house. No sanding or lacquering is required

and a house owner can shift all his furniture into the house immediately after installation.

Q: How do we clean our flooring? Can we wet wash it?

A: The floors can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, broom, or a damp cloth or mop. Wet washing is a definite no-no as

80% of the flooring is made of wood. Normal stains can be removed with the usual cleaning agents or acetone. Most

importantly the f loor should never be waxed or pol ished as it wi l l damage the protective layer on the planks.

Q: If damaged, can I replace my laminate flooring?

A: If it is a small area, the affected plank can be easily cut out and replaced. Please contact your sales representative to

have our trained installers do the rectification work if you are unsure how to go about it. If the damage is covered

under the scope of warranty, replacement of planks is free of charge.

Q: Will removing my laminate floor cause damage to the old floor?

A: Not at all. Installation and removal of your laminate floor will not cause any damage to the original floor. The floor is

neither nailed nor glued to the old floor. It works on a ‘floating floor’ concept.

Q: What kind of guarantee does Goodrich provide?

A: For all Laminate Flooring products, the warrant given for the product (used in a domestic environment) is 20-50 years (Depending

on the brand and collection). Goodrich also provides three years of installation warranty. Kindly approach respective regional sales

Q: Why are there color variations in

my timber engineered wood flooring?

A: Wood is a product of nature hence

you will see variations from board to

board. No two boards are ever the

same. Further, over time the color will

mature from exposure to UV light.

Q: Can I have wood flooring installed

in my bathroom?

A: It is not recommended, due to high

moisture levels in the bathroom. It may

cause unfavorable condit ions for

wood flooring.

Q: How do we clean the floor? Can we wet wash it?
