Some New Products

• How about a pen that is also a torch light, digital clock, mobile phone, iPod, web cam, laser pointer, alarm and a scale !

• How about a mobile phone that is user specific ? An engineer’s phone, a doctor’s phone, a manager’s phone, an accountant’s phone with the right applications, like a design analysis software, a BP monitor, a skill measuring tool or an android Tally !

Page 4: New product development, copy rights and design

Some New Products• A new method to process clean drinking water from plastic

landfills that work through the principle of reverse osmosis !• To synthesize a new plastic or its composite from bio

resources for electronic encapsulation, interconnects and moulding purposes.

• To manufacture and assemble a servant maid robot that is affordable.

• To find solutions for critical ailments through drug development.

• To find an all Indian answer to Windows OS, similar to the Indus OS in place of Android for regional languages.

Copyrights• The exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator

for a fixed number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material.

• Copyright is a legal right created by the law of a country that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights for its use and distribution. This is usually only for a limited time. The exclusive rights are not absolute but limited by limitations and exceptions to copyright law, including fair use. A major limitation on copyright is that copyright protects only the original expression of ideas, and not the underlying ideas themselves.

• It is a form of intellectual property, territorial and limited.

Reliance beats other UHMWPE Fibres !

• Reliance research has recently developed a synthetic high performance fibre that is a better performer than the currently available Dyneema and Spectra varieties. This is a classic case of import substitution.

Coffin Manson Plots for the ICs

31

The weakest bi material interface at which delaminations occur first is the copper lead frame-encapsulant pad area. Most of the preconditioning experiences have revealed that more than 90 % of the failures occur in the pad area interface. The following plot , thus, is a Coffin –Manson fatigue graph created to predict the life time of an IC package investigated here.
