Visual Basic is one of the most powerful front-end tools available today. This "TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVELLING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM "project is developed using Visual Basic as front-end and MS Access as back-end.

 

The MANAGEMENT system application is a complete solution for transporting anything across the world. This report is organized in such way that it reflects all the facilities provided by the application, including its distinct features and advantages.

System RequirementsSystem Requirements..Minimum Hardware Requirements:- Processor type:- Intel Pentium IV(Any higher processor) Processor Speed:- 700Mhz & higher(Minimum 450 MHz) RAM:- 128 MB or above (Minimum 64 MB) HDD Capacity:- 10 GB or above (Minimum 2 GB) Monitor :- 17’’ Color/Mono(Any Upgraded) Keyboard:- 104-keyboard (Any Upgraded) Mouse: -3-button/2-Button WINDOWS XP, VISTA,WIN 7 Operating System

Software Requirement:- Front end tool: - Visual Basic-6.0. Back end tool: - MS Access 2000 (Or Upgraded)

Licensing Issues:- The user must acquire MS Access and Windows License.

FRONT END VISUAL BASIC FRONT END VISUAL BASIC 6.0:6.0:

“Visual Basic” is mainly used for application programming for “Microsoft Windows”. It provides GUI, for building the application software.

Visual Basic-6.0 has emerged as one of the standard Windows Programming Language and it has become a must for all Software people for developing Application in Visual Environment. Visual basic-6.0 has its origin in basic which was developed round about the year 1960, when high level languages were just being introduced to the computer community. Microsoft has made it extremely powerful by gearing all its good features to the windows environment.

The basic part refers to the basic language “Visual Basic” is developed from “Basic” language. The latest version of V.B is V.B net. Visual Basic provides facilities to connect any database like M.S.Access, SQL Server, and many more application and used as front-end. It also supports various Active-x controls, and gives facility to develop our own Activex controls.

BACK END MICROSOFT BACK END MICROSOFT ACCESS:ACCESS:

“Microsoft Access” is used in this project as back-end. Microsoft access provides various facilities like creating database, modifying database, editing database.

The Microsoft Access has been used here for purpose of creating necessary database for relevant project.

Microsoft Access is called R.D.B.M.S that stands for Relational Database Management System.

The R.D.B.M.S works to relate the various entities in database, and creates relationship in the Microsoft Access in order to do needful to our project.

Once a relationship is created then we can access too many task simultaneously in our project in order to get the desired result.
