11 simple steps to wall mount your monitor

Before you start to wall mount your monitor, first check that you are equipped with all the things that you require during the entire process. Put level, cordless power drill, stud finder, screw driver and measuring tape in your tool box. Now arrange the monitor bracket, wall mount bracket, drywall screws, bolts in your mounting kit. Once you have all these tools within your reach, follow the below steps to successfully mount the monitor on the wall. For your ease to understand and execute, steps have been divided into two sections.

Generally monitor brackets are available in a variety of sizes. In case you get confused which brackets will be suitable for your monitor, seek the advise from the qualified personnel of the electronic store.

Do you think that removing the base of monitor would be difficult? No, you just need a screwdriver to drive the screws out and base will be removed easily.

Never take the risk of laying down the monitor without reading the manufacturer's manual. Read the specification given by the manufacturer and then find a suitable place to lay down your monitor. A soft pillow can be used for laying down the monitor.

Find the holes as these will be the only openings where your purchased bracket would be screwed in.

You should always ensure that the brackets you are using are facing in the correct direction. To secure the brackets tightly, use only the screws and the washers that are given with the brackets.

Mark the centre of the stud on the wall. If you don't locate the studs properly then your wall may not be able to bear the weight of monitor screen. In case, you don't find the stud finder, consult an experienced technician or gather the knowledge from internet to locate exact position of the studs.

Make use of a proper level to mark the studs. You should ensure that the stud holes are inserted in the correct position and level as possible.

Make sure that the pilot holes are drilled according to the drill pattern on the back of the bracket.

Take the mounting bracket up to the level of holes you just drilled. Then use a drill to drive the screws in largest bolts of the Pilot holes.

You will need a helping person in this step. After the monitor is placed, tighten the nuts so that the monitor is fixed firmly on the wall.

Before you leave your monitor on the wall, cross check that its weight is properly held by the wall bracket.
