You can view your students grades through the Skyward link available on the St. County School District Website under Parents and Students.
Each student has been given a username (56… student ID) and password (lunch #) to access their account.
Once logged in, you can view grades, upcoming assignments, and email teachers.
If you are having difficulty with accessing Skyward, please let us know.

referral.• Students start fresh each 9 week period.
Progress reports will be sent home every three weeks.
If a student does not submit an assignment, he/she will receive a grade of 0% and it will be reflected on the Progress Report.
If a student brings a progress report home with zeros on it, that student has until the issuance of the next progress report to
submit the assignment for a late grade.
If the student does not submit the assignment before progress reports are printed again (within 3 weeks), the assignment may not be made up and will remain a grade of 0% throughout the grading period.
Please refer to your student handbook or the school website if you have any questions regarding dress code.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Undershirts must be in school colors. Sweaters, jackets, and coats must be a school-
approved, solid color. Images may be smaller than a half dollar.
Everyone with belt loops needs a solid color belt (any color except for neon).

Reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing competencies are integrated throughout students’ learning experiences.
Work must be neatly completed either by hand or typed.
Needs to have proper heading on it. Needs to be written in pencil or blue/black
ink. Everything is written in complete sentences
unless otherwise specified. Demonstrates clear effort; i.e. not hastily
done at the last minute. Students have the opportunity to retake tests
and quizzes they have earned D’s or F’s on, there is a form to fill out.
• Part of the state assessment has students stating WHY their answer is correct.
• This is in the form of either choosing the textual evidence that matches their answer for a previous question OR responding by typing in their textual evidence in the form of a short answer.
• With this in mind, our ongoing learning goal and target will be to ALWAYS state why their answer is correct.
• This is done by either by using the text or prior knowledge or a combination of both.
• We are working on teaching students a variety of ways to accomplish this when responding.
Each student will be taking the state writing assessment.
This will require them to read 2 or more articles/stories and respond to a question in relation to these articles/stories.
Their question needs to be answered and supported with textual evidence.
We are working with them on this through pairing articles and DBQ (document-based question) projects between Civics and LA.

As a class project, students work together to identify and study a problem in their community.
They propose a solution in the form of a public policy recommendation.
They develop an action plan for getting their policy proposal adopted and implemented.
Students display their work in a portfolio and documentation binder and present it in a simulated public hearing.
Student notebooks must include all notes, assignments, handouts and vocabulary.

A class designed to maximize the effectiveness of the school’s reading curriculum.
Through individualized and targeted instruction, it provides opportunity for students to become proficient readers!
Incorporates the following: 100 book challenge, small group instruction
and i-Ready Our GOAL is to develop lifelong readers!!!
Teacher identifies which level each student starts with using the IRLA & I-Ready. (Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, white…)
Teaches reading strategies for indicated level. Sets individual learning goals! Connects common core standards with books and text
students are reading to make connections to the curriculum.
Sign Reading Log for every 15 minutes read which is equivalent to 1 step (in school reading)!
Goal: Students should earn 1 step every day in school and 1 step at home! (Total of 30 minutes daily)
