At the conclusion of :his season Betty will have appeared in 278 performances on the Grand stage.

IRENNE WEBSTER (M-s. Harcourt) re- turns to the G.and stage, having appeared here earlier as Essie Miller in TAKE ME ALONG. Miss Webster is very familiar to Chicagoland for her varied appearances in summer stock, and she has toured the country with Melvin Douglas in I N H E R I T T H E WIND. Irenne created a comic character of "Cousin Matilda" which has been intenrated into T V commercials in Chicago and ~ ~ l l y w o o d . Cousin Matilda was the only woman in a filmed T V series for children. T H E ADVENTURES O F CAPTAIN HARTZ which were made a t U n ~ t e d Ftlm and R~cord ine Studios in Chicaeo and shown in most of t h e country. On tdevision she has appeared on BIG STORY. Some of Irenne's many outstanding roles include Madame Arcati in BLYTHE SPIRIT , Veta Simmons in HAR- VEY. Sidoney in GIG1 and Mrs. Yoder in PAPA I S ALL. Earlier this year Irenne ap- peared for three weeks in SHOW BOAT with Lisa Kirk a t Melody Top in Chicago.

LEROY KALBAS (Elisha J. Whitney) gave extremely effective performances a t the Grand last season as Doc in W E S T S I D E STORY and the Starkeeper in CAROUSEL, and just com- pleted the roles of Horatio in BLOOMER GIRL and Popoff i n T H E MERRY WIDOW. Mr. Kal- bas has had .over thirty years of acting exper- ience appearing with such stars as Buster Keaton, Wally Cox. Nina Foch, Denise Darcel. Jack Barry and Sidney Blackmer among others. He has appeared in plays demanding German, Italian. British. Irish and Swedish dialects.
