The nursing staff functions as an extension of the primary care pediatricians’ practices by triaging all physicians’ after-hours clinical calls in accordance with approved telephone protocols. All telephone encounters are documented with a detailed patient assessment and recommended protocol advice.

The Telephone Triage & Advice Center provides on-call coverage for more than 1.5 million pediatric and adult patients in the tri-state area. It also functions as the UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line for UPMC Health Plan.

For more information regarding the Telephone Triage & Advice Center services and hours of operation, contact Robin Fortunato, RN, manager, at 724-941-5815 or [email protected].
