Dear ECC Families,Thank you for a great week! Often short weeks are the hardest, but I was super impressed with howwell students remembered routines after their long weekend. Thank you to all of the parents who have

volunteered to support our breakfast program. Also a big shout-out to Ms. Muni (Huck's Grandma),for volunteering to do our Birthday board! Students love seeing their name as they walk in and out ofthe building. Our rst re drill was a huge success!! Teachers practiced with their classes earlier in the week and itshowed! We practice re drills monthly. See pictures below. Please remember to send in a note with your child if they are changing their dismissal plans for the dayor call the oce before 1:00pm. The rst month of school is so important for establishing routines. When students are constantly changing their arrival/dismissal routine, it can create anxiety and maketheir transition and/or day very hard. Please try to not change their routine too much during the rstmonth of school. Thank you to all who have already joined our PTA! If you haven't yet, please join by September 27th.We will share the membership totals at our rst PTA meeting on September 28th. The classroom withthe most memberships earns an extra recess with the Principal and POPSICLES! Reminder, you can nd past newsletters on our district's website. Kindergarten Crazy Color DaysDear Parents,We are reviewing colors through a class-made book called “Crazy Color Creatures.” The storyemphasizes color words and rhyming words through a silly song. Your child will be reading/singingthis big book each day and coloring a page to create his/her own book. To reinforce the colors, youmay have your child wear the color of the day, but it is not mandatory! Please no late night Target runsfor a purple shirt :-) Don’t forget to have your child wear his/her bus tag too! Thanks! Monday Sept. 13 – Round Brown + bus tag Tuesday Sept. 14 - Orin Orange day + bus tag Our transportation department has asked that we continue wearing our bus tags for the entireweek. Although our color days will end on Tuesday, bus riders should continue to wear their nametags.
