are admitted through JEXPO Counseling Quota (in 75% Seats of total Intake) and @ Rs. 19,500/- (Rupees Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred only) per semester per student who admitted through Management Quota (in 25% Seats of total Intake); No Tuition Fee for the Students admitted under TFW Scheme Quota (5% Seats of total Intake) through JEXPO Counseling.

B. For the students admitted directly in 2nd year Classes of Regular full-time Courses:

12. Criteria and Weightages for Admission

Description of Eligibility Criteria:

For Full-time Regular Diploma Courses (1st year Classes):

Admission Test: JEXPO entrance examination is conducted by the State Council for admission through counseling quota seats.

Qualification: Passed 10th standard with at least 35% marks in aggregate without that marks of additional subject (without rounding up*). Mathematics, Physical Science (Science) and English are mandatory subjects in the qualifying examination and a candidate must acquire

at least pass marks in all the three subjects s per his / her secondary board. *without rounding up means that any shortfall of marks from the above benchmark will render the candidate ineligible (example: 34.99% marks will not be considered as 35%).

Age: Candidate should not be born after 01.07.2005 and there is no upper age limit.

For Full-time Regular Diploma Courses (2nd year Classes):

Admission Test: VOCLET entrance examination is conducted by the State Council for admission through lateral entry counseling quota seats.

Qualification: Passed (10+2) examination from WBSCT&VE&SD(VED) or passed 2 years’ continuous course of ITI (NCVT) after Secondary of equivalent examination.

Age: There is no age limit.

Minimum level of acceptance:

(a) For admission in 1st Year: Secondary or Equivalent Examination

(b) For admission in 2nd Year: Passed (10+2) examination from WBSCT&VE&SD (VED) or passed 2 years’ continuous course of ITI after Secondary of equivalent examination

Cut-off level of percentage & percentiles (last 3 years): 35% Marks in qualifying examination for admission in 1st Year and for 2nd admission as per State Council.

Important Instructions1. The State Government/ UT/ Directorate of Technical Education/ Directorate of Medical Education shall ensure that 10% of reservation

for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as per the reservation policy for admission, operational from the Academic year 2020-21 isimplemented without affecting the reservation percentages of SC/ ST/ OBC/ General. However, this would not be applicable in thecase of Minority Institutions referred to the Clause (1) of Article 30 of Constitution of India. Such Institution shall be permitted toincrease in annual permitted strength over a maximum period of two years beginning with the Academic Year 2020-21

2. The Institution offering courses earlier in the Regular Shift, First Shift, Second Shift/Part Time now amalgamated as total intake shallhave to fulfil all facilities such as Infrastructure, Faculty and other requirements as per the norms specified in the Approval ProcessHandbook 2020-21 for the Total Approved Intake. Further, the Institutions Deemed to be Universities/ Institutions having Accreditation/Autonomy status shall have to maintain the Faculty: Student ratio as specified in the Approval Process Handbook. All such Institutions/Universities shall have to create the necessary Faculty, Infrastructure and other facilities WITHIN 2 YEARS to fulfil the norms based onthe Affidavit submitted to AICTE.
