The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow is one of the premier Central Universitiesof the country, established on 10th January 1996. The 250 acres of the University campus, aptly named‘Vidya Vihar’, is located off Rae Bareli Road, about 10 kms. south of the Charbagh Railway Station,Lucknow. The jurisdiction of this residential University is over the entire state of Uttar Pradesh. Theuniqueness of this University is evident from its basic philosophy, policies and programmes, which arespelt out and enshrined in the University Act and Statutes.
The University has grown by leaps and bounds in the past two and half years or so and has thehonour of initiating many “first of their kind” initiatives, that have resulted in a large number of small, butsignificant success stories which have put the University on the track of rapid development and haveregistered its footprints in the milieu of the academia of repute.
The University, through its continuous progressive efforts in all areas, is progressing towardsachieving excellence and very recently been accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
VISIONTo be a dynamic, creative and competitive Centre of Excellence in Advanced Knowledge especially
relevant to the development of the Nation and of the socially, educationally and economically marginalisedsections of the Society.
OBJECTIVESThe objectives of the University are:
To promote advanced knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities for integratedcourses in Science and key frontier areas of Technology and other allied disciplines;
To offer appropriate courses relevant for the development of socially and educationally depressedsection of the people, including agricultural technology and rural crafts;
To promote the study of the principles for which Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar worked during hislifetime, namely, national integration, social justice and democratic way of life, and also study of theConstitution of the World;
To take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching-learning process in inter-disciplinary studies and research; and
To pay special attention to the promotion of educational and economic interests and welfare of thepeople in general and members belonging to the SC/ST in particular.
MISSIONThe core mission of the University rooted in its foundation is
1. To promote learning and provide instructional and research facilities of standard quality in highereducation;
2. To make provision for integrated courses in Science, Technology, Medical Sciences, AgricultureSciences, Social Sciences, Legal Studies, Management, Humanities and Allied areas and research infrontier areas of knowledge.
3. To take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching-learning process in inter-disciplinary studies and research in the educational programmes of the University;
4. To offer appropriate courses and pay special attention for the development of socially, educationallyand economically marginalised sections of the people in general and of members belonging to theScheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in particular;

Centre of Social Exclusion and Inclusive StudiesThe centre for the study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP) in Babasaheb BhimraoAmbedker Central University is one of the monumental landmarks among the 35 centres supportedby the University Grants Commission. Social inequality along with its hegemonic structure hasbeen a pervasive feature of Indian society and to overcome such exclusion process is the concernof the centre which is designed to address the issue of social exclusion and inclusion. Within a shortspan of about five years, the centre has witnessed a number of minor and major projects relating toarea of inclusive strategies for the excluded. Efforts have been made on formulating inclusivestrategies for scavengers, muslim minority girls, mushahar communities, dalits, tribal communities,scheduled caste and other backword communities in Uttar Pradesh.
Dr Ambedkar Studies Centre
Dr Ambedkar Studies Centre (ASC) has been established in the University to acquaint the teachersand students with the thought and ideas of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and involve them in studies, research

and field work based extension service programmes.. The centre undertakes theoretical and actionoriented research on relevant themes as well as sensitizes people of nearby locality and areas aboutthe relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s ideas for betterment of people’s lives. Its objective is also toidentify and recognize the contribution of activists/writers who make significant contribution formobilization of people

COMMUNITY COLLEGE
The Community College was established in the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, due tothe untiring zeal of our Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor Prof R. C. Sobti with the objective of empowering theyouth through skill- based and vocational training for inclusive development of the students and thesociety. The primary focus of the Community College is on empowering the students from marginal andunder privileged sections to make them more employable.
The community colleges are like a parallel system of education and offer short duration credit-basedmodules, leveraging on the National Vocational Educational Framework to facilitate mobility of the learnersin the growing employment sector. They act as a source of economic development as it will provide skilledworkforce to the country, which in turn will contribute to the upliftment of the economy
Presently the University has two 3-months job oriented certificate courses under the communitycollege viz., ‘Silk Production’ and ‘Dietetics’ with 30 students each. The students are being provided skillbased education along with industrial training/ internship. The courses are running on zero-fees systemand each student is additionally provided Scholarship of Rs. 1000/- per month during the course.
New Courses started in the Community College are two one-year Diploma Courses in “LivestockProduction and Management” and “Dietetics and Nutrition” from the session 2014-15.

INNOVATORS’ CLUB INNOVATORS’ CLUBHarnessing the innovative ideas of the grass root innovators and transforming them meaningfully
to a tangible output shall put India on the road of progress. The grass root innovator is a common man onthe street who has used some idea to make life bit more comfortable for him and his family. Universitieshave human intellectual capital in terms of students and faculty members who can help in this inclusivegrowth of the country.
It is with the above objective that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, under the able guidanceof our dynamic Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor Prof R. C. Sobti, became the first university in the country tolaunch an Innovators’ Club which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble President, and Visitor of the University,Shri Pranab Mukherjee, during the Fourth Convocation of the University, held on 10th May, 2013.
CENTRE FOR INDUSTRY INSTITUTION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (CIIPP)The centre for Industry Institution Partnership Program (CIIPP) has been established by our visionary
Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.C. Sobti to inculcate and develop competitive, excellent and globally acceptableresearch outputs from the campus of this Central University by involving the excellent human resourceand infrastructure base of University, along with academicians, industry representatives, and reputedexperts on one forum.
A lot of innovative and Industry oriented research and knowledge can be contributed by the ignitedminds of young researchers and faculties with the world class infrastructure getting developed in most ofthe reputed Universities and Institutes as a centre of higher learning. However, it needs an adequateatmosphere, supportive procedures, work friendly rules and proper executive frame work. All of theseaspects have been addressed by our Vice –Chancellor by providing us with the platform of CIIPP forpromoting and furthering academic excellence.

Central LibraryThe foundation for the library services of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow was
laid in January 1998. The library inherited approximately a thousand reference books acquired by earlierarrangements and a thousand books in Hindi donated by the UP Bhasha Sansthan programs. In keepingwith the vision and mission of the University, the library has been established “to promote knowledgegeneration and application through its effective dissemination” and, it therefore, acts as the main learningresource centre of the University to supplement educational and information needs of the faculty andstudents, and provides information services and facilities to meet the requirements of the University’steaching, training and research programs.University Computer Centre
The University has a state-of-the-art, well developed computer centre with following facilities: High speed internet connectivity Establishment of 65 numbers of dual core based PCs and a server connected with LAN environment. Provision of computational facilities to the University community with the help of more than 2000
networks access points. Management of 7 servers being used by the Finance section, Academic section, Examination section,

National Knowledge Network (NKN)The NKN is a state-of-the-art multi-gigabit pan-India network for providing a unified high speed
network backbone for all knowledge related institutions in the country. The purpose of such a knowledgenetwork goes to the very core of the country’s quest for building quality institutions with requisiteresearch facilities and creating a pool of highly trained professionals. The NKN will enable scientists,researchers and students from different backgrounds and diverse geographies to work closely foradvancing human development in critical and emerging areas. The University Grant’s Commission desires that every Central University must have UniversityInstrumentation Centre for the reasons that the modem day science demands the use of the precisionequipments for the acceptability of the data. Such centers help to stop the duplication of the sophisticatedequipments, which costs huge amounts of money, and this in turn helps in regulating the use of thesanctioned money in most judicious ways. With this objective in mind, the Babasaheb Bhimrao AmbedkarUniversity has, with an initial allocation of Rs. 2.00 crores, established the USIC which is housed on theground floor of the School for Environmental Science building.
Currently three precision equipments, viz., Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectrometer (FTIR) ofThermo-Scientific (Nicole 6700); Fast Performance Liquid Chromatograph (FPLC) of GE Healthcare Bio-Science (AKTA 10); and Scanning Electron Microscope of JEOL (JSM 6490 LV) are available in theUniversity for use by the teachers, research scholars, and students.
University Health CentreThe University provides medical and health services through Medical Consultants to all the students,
administrative staff, faculty members and subordinate staff of the University since May, 2005. Health Careservices are also being provided by the Medical Consultants at the Boys’ Hostel and Girls’ Hostel for theresidential students of the University.
The University has a full- fledged well equipped Health Centre to cater the health services of all theemployees and students of the University for which the building has been constructed recently.
Residential Coaching AcademyResidential Coaching Academy (RCA), sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New
Delhi, has been established at BBAU with a motto to nourish and nurture the requirements of the aspirantsof various competitive exams belonging to SC/ST’s, Minorities and women. The RCA is housed in aseparate building with state-of-the-art facilities and exclusive library and computer laboratory, audio-visual class rooms, seminar hall, centralized computer facilities, and an exclusive library with quality studymaterials. The Academy provides residential facilities during the coaching period and prepares aspirantsfor various competitive exams including the Union Public Service Commission, State Public Civil Services,RRB, SSC and other Banking exams.Remedial Coaching Program (RCP)
The UGC Sponsored Remedial Coaching Centre was established in 2002 with the objective ofimparting quality education to the students from weaker section of society, particularly SC/ST andMinorities for various competitive Examinations , Spoken English, Personality Development, CommunicationSkills, General and Scientific Aptitude, Computer Training along with NET/SLET Coaching .

Sports FacilityThe University has a multipurpose sports ground in the campus having facilities for outdoor sports
viz., Football, Volleyball, Badminton , Cricket, Athletics etc. In addition, there is an indoor state-of-the-artGymnasium equipped with all modern facilities for physical training, and facilities for indoor games likeTable tennis, Chess, Carrom etc.Information and Guidance Bureau (I & GB) and Placement Cell
The Information and Guidance Bureau (I & GB) was started in August 2007 and is committed torendering meaningful services to the student community in matters of securing placements as per theirqualification and aptitude, education loans, higher education, competitive exams, scholarships/fellowshipsetc. available in India and abroad. The bureau also conducts career conferences, collects and displaysvarious career related information, provides handbooks of Indian and foreign Universities, newspapers,bulletins, Employment News and occupational information files for students’ reference.SC/ST Cell
The SC/ST Cell is actively engaged in coordinating and solving the problems related to admissionsin the University, utilization and timely disbursement of scholarships, accommodation in hostels, conductof remedial coaching, coaching for UGC-NET, competitive examinations etc., and other measures with aview to see that the education system succeeds in bringing the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes atpar with the rest of the society at both the qualitative and quantitative levels. The university also providesfinancial assistance to the SC/ST students and there is also provision of award of a Gold Medal to thetopper among SC/ST students in each course.

A. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CELLIt is the only institute which provides 50% reservation for the SC/ST students.For the Students Additional seat for thallesemia, HIV +ve, cancer patients, and other patients of serious/grave diseases. Free education to girl student whose family annual income is less than 3 lakhs. Dual degree programs in Engineering and Life Sciences Courses Employment oriented, training-based Diploma and certificate courses in Community College and
Bachelor of Vocation courses for providing opportunity for continuation of studies/ employment.

Guidance for employment/career opportunities to disadvantaged/needy students Additional seats for girl child (single girl child or one of only two girl children in a family). Organization of monthly Open-House Interactive Meetings under chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor
to encourage discussions/ share views/invite suggestions by students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff and officers.
For the Society Compulsory One credit program in Community Services and Moral Education for the students of all
the courses have been introduced by the University. Mandatory community service by university fraternity for the empowerment of the colony mates
w.r.t. providing free computer education, health and environment awareness, legal awareness andfree services/advise etc. in poor/deprived /disadvantaged communities and colonies.
B. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMThe University has adopted five villages Aurangabad, Bijli pasi, Chandrawal, Gadi, Bijnour of
Lucknow subdivision, district Lucknow for development as model villages.Every department of the University contributes to the Community Engagement Program, some of
the activities are as described below: The School for Legal Studies offers free services and legal aid to the poor and disadvantaged
sections of the society through Legal Aid Clinic. The Depts. of Horticulture and Applied Animal Sciences (Sericulture) impart training and empowerment
programs for self-employment/ earning livelihoods. The Dept. of Rural Marketing apprises and trains rural farmers and artisans in the techniques of
marketing to enable them to secure a better and/or fair price of their produce. School for Environmental Sciences is actively engaged in environment awareness and protection

RULES AND REGULATIONS(i) Each student is required to sign a declaration regarding discipline and conduct as per
provisions of the Act & Statutes of the University;(ii) If any candidate secures admission on the basis of fake declarations or result or any
mistake, his/ her admission shall be void ab initio, and the same will be cancelled as soon asthe fact is detected. Action may also be taken against such candidates as per Universityrules;
(iii) The University reserves the right to change or modify the rules and regulations of theadmission test admission test and/or alter the number of seats allocated to each course ofstudy;
(iv) On being selected for admission, the selected candidates shall have to submit the followingdocuments in original on or before the last date prescribed for the purpose:(a) Mark Sheet/Grade Sheet of the qualifying degree course;(b) Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last
attended;(c) Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last
attended, and(d) SC/ST/PH/Kashmiri Migrant/NRI Certificate issued by competent authority.
(v) Applicants seeking admission to more than one course in the University have to submitseparate application forms. They should take separate admission tests for each course.Single application form for more than one course shall be summarily rejected;
(vi) Candidates appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree course of anyUniversity in year 2016 are eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. Such candidates, ifadmitted, must submit the proof of passing qualifying examination by 30th October, 2016failing which the admission shall stand cancelled;
(viii) The percentage of marks in the qualifying examination shall be read without rounding offthe percentage;
(ix) Mere appearing in the Entrance Test does not entitle a candidate to claim admission forany course;
(x) Candidates against whom any disciplinary action has been taken at any stages in his/herearlier academic career shall not be admitted to any course in this University;
(xi) Enrolment of a student in any course of the University shall stand cancelled he/she is heldguilty of any cognizable offence, Enrolment may also be cancelled. If his/her conduct isfound by the Proctorial Board of the University to be at variance with that normally expectedfrom a student of the University.

India is still a predominantly rural nation as majority of the people live in rural areasand are dependent on agriculture and allied sectors. Rural India needs large professionallytrained and socially sensitive manpower to meet the needs of farmer’s organizations, agro-based industries, NGOs, and other rural sectors and segment of society. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

UNIVERSITY FACILITIES
BUS SERVICEUniversity has a Bus, which is being used for shuttling to and fro from University to
Utrathia (six trips) to help the University students.
COMPUTER CENTREThe University is in process of developing a full-fledged computer centre for growth and
development of teaching, research and other related activities in addition to the work relating tothe administration, finance, examination and admission of the University. The function of thecomputer centre includes providing central computing facility with data base and network/ mailserver to all the students and staff of the University and also assistance in conducting research,analyzing data. The Centre will conduct short-term courses/training for the students and staff ofthe University.
Presently University has a Computer Centre equipped with computers and internet facilitiesunder the info net program of UGC scheme, which is open for all. The University is also connectedwith National Knowledge Network (NKN).
HEALTH CAREThe University provides health services through Medical Consultants since May, 2005.
The Medical Consultants are providing health care consultation to all the students, Administrativestaff, Faculty members and Subordinate staff of the University from 10 AM to 5 PM in theAdministrative Block of the University.
Health Care services are also being given by the Medical Consultants at the Boys’ Hosteland Girls’ Hostel for the residential students of the University. The University is in the processof having a fully fledged well equipped Health Centre to cater to the health services of all theemployees and students of the University for which the building has been constructed recently.
INFORMATION & GUIDANCE BUREAU (I & GB)In order to build their career, students need to know what the options available to them are
and where and how they can achieve it. To cater to these precise needs of the students, theInformation and Guidance Bureau (I&GB) was started in August 2007 and is committed to dothe needful for the benefit of the students and alumni. The I & GB of the University is engagedin rendering meaningful services to the students community in matters of securing variousplacements matching with their qualification and aptitude, education loans, higher education,competitive exams, scholarship, fellowships and assistantships available in India and abroad.
The main function of the Bureau is to disseminate the Employment Information for variouscourses offered by the University. The students are explained about various job opportunities,qualifications, age limits, and scheme of competitive examinations and about higher education inIndia and abroad. Tasks of the bureau are to conduct Career Conferences where eminentpersonalities from different walks of life will address the students, collect and display various

career related information, provide handbooks of foreign Universities, newspapers, bulletin ofsister bureau, Employment News and occupational information files for the reference of students.Further it is also to render vocational guidance to the students individually or in group and tocollect and disseminate the occupational information, Training facilities, financial assistanceavailable in India and abroad.
LANMost buildings in the University such as Administrative Block, departments, Hostels, and
some residential quarters in the campus are fully equipped with LAN facility and extension ofthe same to other buildings is in the process.
LIBRARYThe Central Library of the University was established in January, 1998. The Library is
housed in the entire first floor of the Block # 4 of the Administrative building and fulfils itsobjective to supplement educational and information needs of the faculty and students throughits books and periodical sections having adequate reading rooms. The Library services are alsoextended to non-teaching staff and visitors. It has adequate collection to satisfy the informationneed of the user. The Library is developing internet based services and bar-code basedcomputerised circulation. A separate building of the Central Library is going to be completedsoon.
GUEST HOUSEThe Guest House of the University is located within the University campus having a VIP
Suite and other suites/rooms. The Guest House is functional and provides round the clock boardingand lodging services to Guests. Guest House rooms are allotted to University Guests free ofcost and to other State or Central Govt. organizations, Universities, Public Sector Undertakingson request, subject to availability, on payment. However, first priority is given to Universityactivities.
MESS /CANTEENThe Mess facility is available in the University in all the hostels. A Canteen is also running
in the campus during working days which is open for all.
PLACEMENT CELLThe University Placement Cell (UPC) was constituted in the session 2007-08. Since its
inception the cell is helping the students to be placed in various organizations across India andabroad. The UPC is dedicated to support the students in their pursuit to get jobs in reputedorganizations in India and abroad. Currently Placement Cell is planning to launch E-brochure ofthe final year students of various departments. Specialized lectures, workshops and job fair areorganized to provide students a platform to showcase their talents.
SC/ST CellThe staff of the Cell is actively engaged in coordinating and solving the problems in the
matter of admissions in the University, utilization and timely disbursement of scholarships,

accommodation in hostels, conduct of remedial coaching, UGC-NET coaching, CompetitiveExam coaching and other measures with a view to see that the education system succeeds inbringing the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes to a level quantitatively as well as qualitativelyat par with the rest of the society. The Cell is also instrumental in monitoring the implementationof rule of reservation for SC/ST in admission and appointments on teaching as well as non-teaching posts. The University is providing Rs. 2000/- for dissertation, Rs. 3000/-for educationaltour to SC/ST students. Further a Gold Medal is awarded to topper among the SC/ST students.
COACHING CENTRE FOR SC/ST/MINORITIESThe University offers the following Programmes for the development of SC/ST and Minority
students.
i) UGC Remedial Coaching Programme (RCP): Under RCP, additional coaching isprovided to the students who face difficulties in learning the subject concerned and Englishlanguage. In addition, it conducts classes for personality development.
ii) UGC NET Coaching Programme: It offers special coaching for joint CSIR – UGCNETexaminations which are being conducted twice a year.
iii) Residential Coaching Academy: This Programme offers special coaching for CivilServices (IAS/IPS/IFS), State Services, SSC, RRB and other competitive examinationswhich are being conducted by the Central and State Governments.
SPORTSA healthy person keeps a healthy and active mind and sports are the best mechanism to
accomplish that objective. The National Sports Policy (1984) and the New Education Policy(1986) also emphasise on the need for introduction of sports in the academic programme. TheUniversity, being sensitive for the overall development of students, realizes that a balance inphysical, mental and emotional growth is essential for the complete development of personality.
At present, the University has a multipurpose sports ground in the campus having facilitieslike Football, Volleyball, Cricket, athletics etc. In addition, there is an indoor Gymnasium equippedwith all modern facilities for physical training. Indoor games like Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess,and Carom facilities are available. All the games, indoor and outdoor, are facilitated by expertsand trainers. University is sure that these facilities would instil in students a sense of confidencebesides physical fitness. It would help them in becoming a complete human being so that theycan withstand the challenges of life.
STUDENTS WELFAREStudent Welfare involves providing ample scope and opportunities for the development of
students including their overall personality development. To motivate the students for participationin different programmes of the university, the students are awarded several medals and prizes.Moreover, students can avail railway concessions including journey performed for researchwork, home town visit etc., monthly concession passes in Govt. city buses. The Universityrecommends students for various types of scholarships, such as JRF/RGNJRF, and also GEN/SC/ST/OBC students to various statutory bodies and the Social Welfare Department.

UNIVERSITY SCIENCE INSTRUMENTATION CENTRE (USIC)As per the UGC’s ingenious plan every Indian University must have a Science Instruments
Centre. In fact, the creation of such a centre is becoming obligatory for every university for thereason that the modern day science demands the use of precision equipments for the acceptabilityof data. Such centres help stop duplication of sophisticated equipments, which cost huge amountsand in turn help in regulating the use of the sanctioned money in the most judicious way.
This University has established USIC, which is housed on the ground floor of the Schoolfor Environmental Sciences building. USIC has three precision equipments:
1. Scanning Electron Microscope, (SEM, Model JSM-6490 LV of JEOL, and Japan) withEDX facility and two preparatory units, viz., Critical Point Dryer and Ion Sputter Coater;
2. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer with ATR - Attenuated Total Reflectance (FT-IR Spectrometer, Model Nicolet TM 6700 OF Thermo Scientific, USA);
3. Fast Performance Liquid Chromatography (FPLC, Model EKTA 10 of GE HealthcareBioscience. Sweden). These equipments have been procured and are under regular use inUSIC.
WOMEN CELLThe University is doing a lot of work towards gender equality. As a path breaking decision,
a provision of gender budgeting has been made on BBAU financial road map. Gender budgetingbasically means that a part of the budget will be set aside for gender specific activities.
Recently, the University constituted a committee to suggest the requirements of basicfacilities for the women employees and girl students of the University. Some of therecommendations made by the committee are: more women friendly spaces in the Universityincluding common rooms and toilets, transport, canteen, shopping complex with a chemist shop,and computer with internet facility for the women employees and students in the campus.
DAY CARE CENTREOn 8th March, 2010 a Day Care Centre was inaugurated by the then Vice Chancellor B.
Hanumaiah, Prof. Sunita Mishra has been appointed Co-ordinator of the Centre.
COMMUNITY COLLEGECommunity College has started working in the educational session 2013-14, to impact skill
development programmes for youth under NVEQF (National Vocational Education QualificationFramework) of Ministry of Human Resource Development Group of Indian. Certificate courseon “Dietetics” and Certificate Courses in “Computer Skill Training” of three month durationeach have commenced as per UGC direction. Certificate course on “Dietetics” is offered bySchool for Home Science and Certificate course on computer skill training is offered by theComputer Centre, under School of SIST of the university. The objective of the course is toimpact skill opportunity and help in employment to participants

SEMESTER SYSTEM AND ATTENDANCE(i) All students enrolled in the various M.Phil., P.G.,U.G., and Diploma courses are required to
have 75% attendance in theory and practical (wherever applicable) to appear in Examination.The University reserves the right to disallow such candidate(s) from appearing in theexamination whose attendance falls short of the minimum prescribed.
(ii) No candidate will be allowed to take up a job while pursuing a full time course. Those, whoare employed at the time of admission, will be required to produce a certificate of leavefrom their employer within one month from the date of admission failing which their admissionwill be cancelled on the recommendation of Head/Dean by the competent authority.
(iii) A student is allowed to repeat courses/improve grades in courses as specified in the rules.
(iv) Zero semester/year provision can be availed by a student only under the conditions specifiedin the rules.
EXAMINATION AND EVALUATION PATTERN
The University follows Semester system for all the courses with choice based credit system.
DISCIPLINE OBSERVATIONProctorial Board
The University has a Proctorial Board to maintain both discipline and law and order on thecampus.
Anti Ragging CommitteeThere is an Anti Raging Committee in the University which ensures complete ban on
ragging in the campus in general and hostels in particular. Moreover, on the basis of directionsgiven by the Supreme Court of India, if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of theauthority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if the explanation is notfound satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the institution. Further, in view of UGCRegulations on curbing the menace of ragging in Higher Educational Institution, 2009, everystudent and his parent/guardian will furnish an affidavit at the time of admission on the proformagiven in the Annexure - I & II.
Committee against Sexual HarassmentThere is a Committee against Sexual Harassment to combat sexual harassment and violence
against women in the University campus.
