Introduction
Leading was one of the most important administrative
functions of management in which managers should do to
achieve the goals and objectives of the company. But
sometimes the way the managers lead or treat his/ her
subordinates was the reason why the employees quit their
jobs. There was a saying that “People don’t leave companies,
4
they leave leaders.” This was a quite true most often
employees resigned because of the attitude of the bosses or
the superior managers.
According to an article “Bad Bosses to Blame For Most
Resignations” The Boss day approach, a survey that they
conduct, “bosses not the job challenges force the people to
quit their jobs. 7 out of the 10 corporate employees in the
country leave their jobs due to their bosses.” conducted
among 2,500 executive across the country.
This research shows us which has the greater number of
people resigned under the supervision of their male or
female boss.
Statement of the Problem
This study clearly discussed about the number of people
resigned under the supervision of their male or female boss
and has a goal to answer the following objectives:
1. Who do you considered most male or female boss?
5
2. What are the factors that influenced them to resign?
3. What are the effects to the person after he/she
resigned?
4. What is the difference between male or female boss in
terms of managing his/her subordinates?
Significance of the Study
The research The Number of People Resigned Under the
Supervision of Male or Female Boss was conducted for us to
know the reasons why some employees leave their jobs at the
difference of male or female boss in managing an
organization and their subordinates. And its effects to the
person after they experienced to resigned.
The result of this study can guide us to change the
things that cause the employee to quit their jobs.
Scope and Limitation of the Study
6
The idea of resigning in a company comes when the
employees were working and the factors that provoke them to
resign because of their bosses. Regular or loyal employees
may not think of it because they used to accept the attitude
of their boss.
The only focus of our study were the ex-employees who
resigned for almost 2-3 years and the research wants to
emphasize which the greater number of people has resigned
under the supervision of their female or male bosses.
Review of Related Literature
Most of the business take careful attention about the
increase number of employed workers that resigned because of
their bosses whether a male or female or immediate
supervisor. Which would be the number one reason why people
quit their job? “People leave managers not companies .... In
the end, turnover is mostly a manager issue,” Gallup wrote
in its survey findings (From the Editors at Netscape). From
7
this statement, we could see that problems with bosses are
the causes why employees intended to leave their jobs the
unprofessional behaviour Poor Management, Incompetence,
Inadequate compensation, Harassment and discrimination,
Privacy Invasion, Bullying and not respecting your legal
rights, can we considered as the factors that provoke the
employees to resign.
Whether a male or female boss can show this kind of
behaviour to their subordinates. “Is that some of the
behaviours that we think most protect us are what in fact
allow the behaviour to continue worker become desensitized,
tacitly complicit, and don’t always act rationally.” Dr.
Calvin Morrill of the University of California at Irvine
told times reporter Benedict Carey. This behaviour can have
a large impact to the employees like fear, stress, being
less motivated, emotional exhaustion, can decrease your
self-esteem and sometimes may lead to suicide.
According to the website Badbossology.com who did its
own online survey of 11,118 people it found out that fully
8
half of people working slobs would fired their own bosses if
they could. Nearly 30% would they that their bosses seen by
workplace psychologists, but just 23% would send their
bosses for management training. Some of the cases of bad
bosses could lead to court some recent legislative changes
have attempted to put a face on a workplace bullying and
harassment. Surprisingly like what happened on an ex-
employee of Apple who had spoken out about how his nightmare
boss caused him to resign in his job at the company.
Designer Jordan Price has blogged out his experienced on
Mediums Apple Daily, revealing how his insulting boss at
Apple made him quit shortly after getting the job. The rude
boss who is known as a producer within the Apple workplace,
apparently made a habit of threatening Jordan with the non-
renewal of his contract if he did not complete certain role.
The unprofessional behaviour of his Boss did not stop and so
in the end the best course of action to the developer was to
quit from his dream job. Perhaps quitting was not the best
course of action and issue could have been resolved in HR

METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the methodology that will be used
in the conduct of this study and will include the
discussion of research design, samplings, data
gathering and statistical treatment used.
Method of Research
This study used the descriptive-normative-
survey approach. The descriptive method involves the
description, recording, analysis and interpretation of the
prevailing conditions and the present nature of a certain
group. The researcher tend to answer the curiosity about the
topic of this study, if what were the reason behind the
number of people resigned under the supervision of male and
female boss and to get beneficial answer for the questions
flying on the minds of the proponents. This type of research
described what exists and may help to uncover new facts and
meaning.
11
Method of Collecting Data
The researcher used the survey technique which was
under descriptive research design. Survey technique,
requires gathering of facts that requires sufficient and
accurate interpretation. This technique was used to collect
data about respondents’ opinions or suggestions and the
gathered data were analyzed, organized, and interpreted.
Method of Developing Research Instrument
The researcher used questionnaire and survey forms as a
research instrument. The survey form asked for the opinion
of employees of why they resigned from their jobs because of
their bosses or senior managers.
Statistical Treatment
12
In determining the sample size of the study, the
researchers used the following formulas to evaluate the
results of the survey; frequently is the number, proportion,
or percentage of items in a specific category in a set of
data, while percentage is proportion or share in relative to
a whole. This method is used to determine the percentage of
our respondents out of total population in terms of the
Effects of the growth of hackers to IT Industry. The formula
for frequency and percentage is:
F
P = ------------- x 100 %
N
Where:
P is percentage
F is number of IT students who give their opinion about
the Effects of the Growth of Hackers to IT Industry
N is total number of population
13
The mean, or average, is the sum of the values divided
by the total number of values. This determined the average
result of data gathered from different respondents.
14
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF
STATISTICAL DATA
This chapter presents, analyzes and interprets the
findings based on the specific problems and hypothesis that
were formulated at the beginning of the study.
The interpretation and analysis were presented after
each table in order to widen the facts of information on
each given questions.

Conclusion
22
The research “The Number of People Resigned Under the
Supervision of Male or Female Boss” had made the process of
gathered information’s and conduct the various result of the
research. An equal number of male and female answered the
questionnaire/survey and all of them were currently
employed. The research shows that more female had
experienced to resign because of salary delay. Half of the
number of the male states that they were forced by their
boss to do hard task and the remaining said no. While all
the female said that they were not forced by their boss to
do hard task. The difference between male or female boss in
terms of managing the business was likely about how they
treat their employees. All of the gender (male or female)
preferred male bosses than female in terms of managing the
business. As a result after they leave their jobs they
