Challenges

• Low Pass Rate for Developmental Courses• Unfamiliarity with UOG’s academic system

and course selections• Limited academic advisement• Micronesian students have weak study

skills and limited postsecondary orientation.

Plan for the rest of the year.

• The SSS project will provide tutoring in developmental English and math.

• The SSS project staff will offer comprehensive services.

• The SSS project staff also monitor the participants’ academic progress through a variety of methods.

• The SSS activities will influence the development of non-cognitive factors through interventions, described in the Comprehensive Preference Priorities.

• Budget, resources, and qualified personnel will ensure the PLOP is successfully executed.
